Meet Sambo, one of the Phayanak Dance Crew's Support Members 🐉

For our cultural photoshoot, Sambo is wearing traditional rural Lao attire, featuring a simple indigo shirt paired with a handwoven plaid pha khao ma (checkered cotton cloth). Practical and versatile, this style of clothing has long been worn throughout rural Laos for everyday work and village life. The pha khao ma can be used as a sash, head covering, shoulder cloth, or even to carry items, making it a timeless symbol of Lao ingenuity and resilience.

Outside of PDC, Sambo enjoys cooking and exploring the culinary world, trying new restaurants, outdoor landscaping, and watching anime. Fun fact: if there's a grill at an event, he's always willing to be the grill master! He's also been using the same gamer tag, "KrzyEggroll," since 2005! 🎮🔥

More member introductions to come, so stay tuned! ✨

Meet Tila, one of the Phayanak Dance Crew's Support Members 🐉

For our cultural photoshoot, Tila is wearing traditional Lao women's ceremonial attire. Her ensemble features a beautifully handwoven silk sinh paired with a matching pha biang and elegant gold jewelry. Worn during weddings, festivals, and other special occasions, these timeless garments showcase the artistry of Lao weaving while celebrating traditions that continue to be cherished and passed down through generations.

Outside of PDC, Tila enjoys shopping, doing her nails, going to the movie theater, and helping people. Fun fact: she's been a Belieber ever since she was 9 years old! 💜

Meet Golf, one of the Phayanak Dance Crew's Support Members 🐉

For our cultural photoshoot, Golf is wearing traditional Lao men's attire. His ensemble features a classic suea pat (traditional shirt), salong (traditional trousers), and a colorful pha khao ma draped over the shoulder. The pha khao ma is a versatile woven cloth that has long been a staple of everyday life throughout Laos and Thailand, valued for both its practicality and cultural significance. Together, these timeless pieces reflect the simplicity, functionality, and enduring traditions of daily life.

Outside of PDC, Golf enjoys playing golf (with a self-proclaimed handicap of +30!) and spending time hiking and camping. He loves unplugging from the internet and reconnecting with nature whenever he gets the chance. Fun fact: he's never paid for a haircut in his entire life!

More member introductions to come, so stay tuned! ✨
