Moments from the last 3, going on 4, months ✨ It's a little over 3 months since I started my Housemanship and the experience has been... Eventful. There are certain experiences in life that cannot be adequately described to you and would only be best understood experienced. House job— much like Medical school, but a lot more intense—is one of those. In my first two to three weeks, I was sure I was exceeding 15k steps a daily. My posting started with Internal Medicine. And that communicates a lot to medical professionals. Many days, I carried out the sacred duty of caring for the sick, when I myself was hanging by a thread. Many times, I felt the pain of the patient and their loved ones but couldn't take too much time to process it because other patients needed my attention.Watching people go from ill health to good health, or from ill health to peaceful sleep always left a streak on my heart. But it hasn't been all bad. The Community I have come to have amongst my colleagues have made the job a lot less overwhelming. I have also built confidence in my ability to apply the knowledge I garnered over the years to rightly diagnose and treat ailing people. And I have come to a practical understanding of what my teachers meant when they said, "The Doctor is the head of the team." That statement bears so much weight and comes with the responsibility to know and to decide the best course of care for the patient. These and many more.Amidst it all, I think I'm finally starting to understand the concept of Doctoring and maybe enjoying it as well. See you on the next post. by @phayyee_ve

When I was a teenager, I told my elder sister and a family friend that I found it hard to hold conversations with people and they went, "Eh ehn?"They found that statement hard to believe because, unknown to me at the time, I had exhibited qualities of confidence and eloquence so much so that they couldn't tie my present admission to the person they have known.A month ago, I had the privilege to speak to a group of men across all age groups on their Prostate Health and stress management at the Council of Foursquare Men (CFM) Summit 2026 by the Four square Gospel Church. It was a very interactive conversation. I broke down the concepts to accommodate my audience and highlighted signs/symptoms they should not ignore. At the end, there were questions which we generally discussed together and the feedback was humbling. I was able to address sensitive issues with men's reproductive and mental health while maintaining a safe space where they were able to open up about their concerns, unlearn harmful thought processes and relearn very new concepts. To be honest, I strongly believe this oratory is a skill that can be developed, which is why I intend to fine tune my craft so that I am better everyday.I also firmly believe my starter-pack with this skill (and the jet pack, really) is that God gifted me this talent. And, My! oh My! The things that this will become in my hands. Eyes haven't seen!I am glad I got this platform. And this is me putting it out there that I am available to anchor conversations. No matter the field. I love a good challenge and love to learn about new fields.Do put me on. Cheers.Follow me on LinkedIn too, Favour Akintunde. by @phayyee_ve

Here's the one where I give all the credits. Let's start with the suit. One thing I almost always do is sketch my designs. Somehow, I never see a style that suits (🌚) what I have in mind. So, of course, it was a struggle to pick THE look for induction. Should I wear a dress, or a skirt, or pants with shirt or a suit? One day, when I was in a bus to Lagos for Rain Conference, I prayed and asked God to give me inspiration because it had been weeks and no inspiration was coming. Then I started to sketch. When I was done, I knew this was it! Well, of course I was unsure a couple of times and asked people's opinions and validations 🌚, didn't get much of those though, until maybe later. Had to use Ai to create an illustration to finally see it SEE it.Next hurdle, who would sew it and not mess it up? I spent another long time on this one until my siblings referred @winns_couture all the way in Port Harcourt. We talked, sent measurements and she sent me a video of the first fitting on a model. I was initially scared to download the video cos what if it's bad?! Then I did, I was soooo excited. They got the idea to the very last detail. A few adjustments later, and Voila, this beautiful masterpiece. Not to brag, but My VC complimented the suit 😌. Someone said I should name it so that she can reference me WHEN she recreates it 😂. Suggestions? The hair, my sisterrrrrr @busola_akintinde. Had this whole plan for the styling but the stylist said it won't work. However, the straight hair still ate! Jewelry, it was a collab between Temu and my sister and what I already had in my collection. Brooche, the Amazing @spark.lette, I loveeeettt Shoes! @tenderfooties As a first time customer, I say they deserve a reward for prompt services and value for your money!Make-up, the baddest MUA! @symeesglam. She has mastered my face tbh. Three time returning customer! That says a lot! And the people that brought these all together in a frame, @kleansestudio. Top-notch tbh! I think I have one or two more posts and that will be a wrap on induction. Thanks for reading till the end❤️ by @phayyee_ve

There is so much I haven't shared on here this year, but hoarding this will be absolutely criminal. On the 15th of November, 2025, I swore the physicians' oath and got legal rights to now be addressed as Dr. Akintunde Favour Bisola. In the same hall where I was matriculated to study Medicine and Surgery about 8 years ago, I was also, there, conferred the title of a physician. It was such a full circle moment. The past 8 years culminating in that moment, marking the end of my journey as a medical student. God indeed did an awesome thing for me and my colleagues @p.a.r.a.g.o.n_25 "For by my God I have run through a troop, and by Him have I leaped over this wall" I am no longer a medical student, an identity that I have borne for almost a decade. I am now a Medical Doctor. Akintunde, M. D. by @phayyee_ve

Allow me to reintroduce myself. My name is Favour Akintunde, I am a firm believer in the gospel of Christ (the death, burial and resurrection unto glory of Christ Jesus for all men, myself definitely inclusive).I am a bond servant of Christ and servant of the church (Christ' body) and this is my greatest honor. I am of the Tribe of Giants @petraccglobal and I live for the glory of the Lord and the raking in of the harvest. And I am also No longer a student (God did😭 😂) God has always been so intentional about me. His intentionality is the reason why I could even fathom, at different phases of my life, to prayerfully inquire what house he would have me be rooted.I grew up in Banner of God's Grace church, Makurdi and I was taught God's word in its literal form right from children's class. I strongly believe that all that I have grown into today is because of the foundation of BOGGC and God's gift to us in the person of Pst Sunday Esenekhomen. I was taught God's word! The foundation was surely sturdy and not destroyed.Finishing up secondary school with University in sight I started to ask God to go ahead of me and prepare a place that I would be planted. I had humble specifics 😂 "A church where the worship is great, prayer is a practice and the word is solid" then later I added, "where there's fashion" cos I didn't want to have to struggle with that 😂. I came to UNIMED and my very first Sunday, a friend (who ended up not even being a member of the church at all) invited me and convinced me to attend @uccf_family . From the first Sunday I knew I had found my home. I was conscious to "try all sessions by the word and the Spirit on my inside" that first service but I just knew this was it.My initial plan was attend the church for 3 Sundays and test the waters on all my requests, if it ticks all the boxes, then join the workforce. Brothers and sisters, ladies and gentlemen, the second Sunday, workers in training was announced and I immediately registered and started classes to join the workforce. I knew God had answered my prayers and prepared me a place. Continued in the comments... by @phayyee_ve
