my research project has developed soooo much in the last few months that you guys are overdue an update!!!

earlier this year i said i was doing 2 rounds of interviews, now there is a quant survey sandwiched between these. I previously was not confident in my methodology at all but now i have a great idea of what im actually doing for the next few years!

any questions let me know!

Introduction to me!! I’m 24 years old and i’m now in the 2nd year of my PhD! I can’t believe it’s gone this quick.

After spending the last year posting on TikTok and gaining nearly 30k followers I thought it was time I start posting on instagram too! A cheeky rebrand later and here I am 📚

My PhD is funded by the ESRC and I am looking at magistrates decision making in domestic violence cases! I look at a lot of psychological theories, jury decision making literature, as well as domestic violence.

I have recently changed my methodology slightly and I am now going to be doing mixed methods!

Are you really a PhD student if you don’t have multiple side projects?? These are my main three! There are some things in the works I am not going to include here yet as I do not want to jinx things….

Little personal insight into me and my hobbies! I would appreciate any fantasy recommendations!! I’ve been in a massive reading slump recently due to all the academic reading that I would love a trashy easy read romantasy! by @phdwithcrosbie

my 9-4 as a phd student!! i am so tired today but i think its because i worked saturday so ive only had a one day weekend??

APPLY(ing) Your Degree is back for p3! more job roles and titles that you could use your criminology degree with. i am tired of people saying this degree is useless and your options are limited so i started this series to show people the range of things you can do.

this one is for the people who have interests in things not obviously linked to their degree, because you just have to get creative! there’s jobs out there than can cater to both of your interests. e.g finance, marketing, social media etc.

hopefully this gives you some inspiration in your job search!

If you didn’t see part one, basically i started this series to show people you can do so many things with a criminology degree. i was tired of people thinking their only option is being a police officer. here are 5 more job titles and roles you can think about during your job search!

as always i try to keep these entry level and where ive seen people get these roles straight out of uni (normally with a little volunteering experience).
