The blessedness of being planted in God’s house and the benefit of discipleship is one thing that has fast tracked my journey in life.

I wouldn’t have it any other way, never!

The biggest privilege of my life goes beyond just service. It is being part of what God is doing even when no one sees it
The trust to lead God’s people
The opportunity to co-labour with Gods anointed
The heart to see Gods kingdom established

There are progress that matter and are worth celebrating before the big milestone. While you want to celebrate the certification, the job gig and more, there are little efforts that makes the big win possible.

For my scope of work little things that I celebrate include;

📍Finishing a course.
📍Understanding a difficult concept.
📍Talking about my progress publicly
📍Sending a message and getting a response

Here are Four things I did to make my transitioning journey easy out of many others.

You’d be surprised that it’s the little thing that makes the actual difference. I can tell you for free that rather than do one huge thing and begging to pitch here and there which is equally important, build momentum, it compounds.

Take this from me, you’ll never feel ready, there will always be one more thing tick the box. On the other hand, the clock keeps ticking.

Three months into my transition, I still didn’t feel qualified. I had the skills on paper, because I was intensely getting trained and bagging certification.

Somehow I still felt none of the experience was fit for me to get a job. Every job description felt like it was written for someone else.

So I waited, I told myself I’d apply my portfolio and all was set

Ready never came in reality

So I applied anyway, unsure and scared I’d get exposed in the interview.

I got the interview and prepared, then I got the offer.

Looking back, being ready was never a checkpoint I was going to hit. It was a feeling I was waiting to have before I let myself try. And feelings will not always give the result you desire, Action does.

If you’re sitting on an application right now, waiting to feel more prepared: you won’t.

Send it anyway. I’m rooting for you

I have the firsthand experience of starting all over in a new space. It’s exciting and at the same time a mix of different emotions, most especially when you don’t have someone to hold you by hands.

One minute you’re all pumped up and the next minute you’re questioning your decision.

Sometimes the weird feeling of everyone knowing you’re a beginner. It goes on and on.

But here’s the truth;
📍Every expert you admire once sat where you are today, asking questions and making mistakes that nobody remembers.
📍The confusion, you face comes at different career points, you’re just a wisdom away from it.
📍The clarity you desire comes from constant movement even in things you’re not certain of.
📍 You can learn alone but having communal learning 10x your growth
📍 Don’t settle get on personal project, volunteer, send that pitch. Every bits of this builds your confidence.

Keep showing up, because slow growth has a way of becoming strong growth when you don’t quit. It compounds, I know this and I’m cheering you on.

For the longest time, I thought change had to come from frustration, pain or a need for new breath.

Surprisingly, mine came from curiosity. I was grateful for where I was, yet I couldn’t ignore the feeling that there was another version of me waiting to be explored.

Sometimes growth isn’t about escaping something bad; it’s about responding to something better that’s calling you.

Do the deep work today, lock-in, don’t ignore that feeling. Something bigger might just be waiting for you.
