Dear Grandpa,

Today we flew over to Tassie and visited you for the final time. Even though I am so heartbroken, I feel so honoured to have had you in my life for 2 decades.
Sadly there are not too many other lucky people in the world to have shared the relationship I had with you.
Although we called you Grandpa, you really were my Great Grandpa and I am so greatful to mum for sharing you with Myself, Maurice and Felicity.

To have created all the wonderful memories we did together, you making my first birthday cake, going on many unforgettable holidays, having you as a passenger as I learnt to drive & more recently being able to share a legal beverage together. It has been a privilege.

You were always so gentle to us, had all the time in the world and taught us the most important lessons in life. You can’t say “Can I” it’s “May I,” these simple manners I will take with me forever and carry on your legacy.

There is so much more I could say to you Grandpa, however as time goes on I promise to talk to you and look for signs to know that you are still watching.

It is now time for us to get on the plane and fly back home! Please know that I will love you forever to your shining star and back. It’s not goodbye forever, it’s just until we meet again 🪽 🌟

With the heaviest of broken hearts 💔 I would like to share with you all the passing of our miracle baby CAZNA Hudi 🕊️
Although he wasn’t here with me forever like I had hoped and dreamed for, Hudi taught me so much more for better or worse.
When Hudi was born he contracted a Naval infection. Due to being born premature Peigi’s body did not have the colostrum supply ready for him to fight off this cruel infection.

When a calf is first born, it is vital that in the first 6 to 8 hours they to drink 10% of their body weight from their mother.
However due to being so little to begin with, he was unable to achieve this. Causing the infection to give him a fever, loss of appetite, sore tummy, constantly weeing, no motivation, always hunched over, lameness and swelling in the joints.
We did all that we could for him to get better, so he could enjoy doing zoomies with Henry and Hallie. Not to mention he did not give up either.

Yet unfortunately it is days like today you wish you never had to happen with the animals you love for and care so much about. Mentally Hudi did everything in his power to survive although it was his body that was letting him down and that was not fair to watch him keep struggling in the 1% chances that oneday he might recover.

Hudi was layed to rest on the top of the farm watching over us all. Sadly it just wasn’t his time on planet earth, but I hope that he is somewhere up in heaven pain free, doing zoomies on the clouds.
