Hello everyone. I wanted to take the time to commerate a personal achievement. And that is to celebrate 20 years of playing the guitar, starting with receiving my first guitar at the age of 12, way back in February of 2006. For so long now, the Guitar (along with music in general) has played several integral roles in my life. Friend, Confidant, Comforter, Savior and Constant Companion. It has opened more doors then I can count. From band and gig opportunities, to lasting friendships that I deeply cherish, to precious memories that will last a lifetime. It's been a long road from a being a lonely teenager learning my first chords and solos in Silver Spring, MD. To further developing my musical skills and beginning my professional career playing in my first bands, busking on the streets and playing at the open mic nights and blues jams in Charleston, SC. To playing with some amazing musicians at some of the coolest venues in Las Vegas, NV. All of which I wouldn't trade for ANYTHING. If you had told me back when I was 12, all that I would accomplish and experience over the next two decades, all because of a six-stringed musical instrument? I certainly wouldn't have believed you! In conclusion, I am deeply grateful to God for giving me my talent. And, I am deeply grateful to my friends and family for helping to nurture my talent during these last 20 years. And, may the next 20 years be as exciting and interesting as the last 20 years have been! Thank you. Christian #guitar #gratitude #pride #music #love by @phiferchristian
Well, We've reached the end of 2025. For me, 2025 has been a year of personal growth and professional achievement. From hosting Kenny Davidsen's Bowtie Cabaret show TWICE this year. To having 2 weekly residencies one at the Virgin Hotel and Casino, and the other at MGM Grand. To restarting my band and performing a SPECTACULAR live show with my band at the Sand Dollar Lounge last week on Christmas Eve. As well as the many sideman gigs through this year with playing with Ilan Divr, Frankie Lee and the Infernos, Zia and others. On the professional side, This has overall been my best year yet! On the personal side, as stated earlier, this year has been one of personal growth. From switching to wearing more formal attire in the winter, to generally growing in personal confidence as both a musician and as a man. Knowing my worth and personal value. And most importantly, getting better at knowing how to recognize emotionally bad situations, and walking away from those situations when they don't benefit my life in any way, shape or form. So, in conclusion, this year has truly been an excellent year for me, and I am throughly looking forward to the next one! Wishing you all a happy and safe New Year! Cheers to 2026!
