War Times was one of the most challenging and rewarding projects I worked on fresh out of Blanche MacDonald. This long overdue post highlights some of the many gory, sweaty, and broken down looks I had the pleasure of creating alongside my wonderful assistants Saijal and Del. I’m immensely proud of all the work that myself and my fellow crew members put into this project, and grateful to Christian for creating such a riveting piece. This film won the 2025 Leo Award for Best Student Production.

Wow, what a year! Feeling incredibly grateful for all of the opportunities I've been given throughout 2024. Every project I've been apart of has not only shaped me as an artist, but as a person as well. Thank you to everyone who has taken a chance on me this year, and especially to those who have encouraged me to keep going when back-to-back sets have worn me down.

I don't often get personal on this page, but I've gained a larger following over this year and figured this would be a good opportunity to reintroduce myself. My name is Sophie Tran, I'm an artist with a passion for storytelling and character design - especially through makeup artistry. I have a special place in my heart for fantasy and horror, and my goal for the new year is to explore more looks that would fit into those kind of worlds. Outside of doing makeup I enjoy painting, drawing, and writing poetry.

The Tragic Death of Roman Rodriguez.

This character was created for my final prosthetics exam. Application included a gelatin prosthetic made by me, airbrushed necrotic veins, and dry necrotic patches on the face. Water Zombie 🧟‍♂️🧠

I had so much fun turning my Mom into a zombie! This application included a rubber bald cap, foamed latex zombie eyes, and several hand made latex and cotton pieces. Eyes were edited in Photoshop.
