Today, we must share difficult news. The City has deprioritized funding for art and culture with a $1.5M decrease from FY26 for The Philadelphia Cultural Fund. Despite our combined efforts with @ruephilacouncil , @isaiahthomas4philly, @councilmemberquetcy, and the voices of 774 art and culture defenders who signed the petition to increase our funding to $6 million, we’re now left to face the challenges ahead. PCF will continue to do what we can to support our art and culture community, working alongside our grantees, cultural leaders, elected officials, and community members to fight for a city where art and culture are treated as essential public infrastructure; to create a future where Philadelphians are not expected to do more with less, despite their proven impact on our neighborhoods, economy, and civic life.THANK YOU to all 774 of the art and culture defenders who took action this past month to advocate for PCF this budget season. Sign up for our newsletter to stay connected to our work supporting Philadelphia’s art and culture community.
