Hey SYDNEY!!! Our theological roundtable is coming up fast! This is a gathering of teachers and church leaders to discuss several ‘hot button’ topics that are relevant to the current season.

These include contemporary controversies and a variety of perspectives within the field of theology. We live in a time when we are compelled to identify and assess emerging trends that challenge the boundaries of theological orthodoxy.

Our topics for our October 20th Roundtable Event are:

*The Gnostic Subversion of the Contemporary Prophetic Movement
*The Impact of Progressive Theology upon Local Congregations
*Examining “new translations”

If these topics are of personal interest to you, this one-day event may be just the place for you to come and listen to some of Australia’s mature teachers and leaders as they discuss these controversies. Of course, there will be opportunities to ask questions of our panel.  PANELISTS FOR THIS EVENT: Tim Ferris, Brett Barclay and Marty Webb, along with Phil and Maria Mason.

Try loving as Jesus loves! We immediately discover numerous factors that hinder us from loving well. These are the things Jesus wants to heal! Jesus boldly declared that the Father sent Him with a specific mandate: to heal broken hearts. (Luke 4:18)

A broken heart lacks the wholeness only Jesus can impart.

The Father’s adoptive love is the fabled ‘balm of Gilead.’

Jesus applies the “oil and wine” of the Father’s tender love to the wounds of the broken and the traumatised. (See Luke 10:34) He is the Good Samaritan who stops for the wounded and the broken, helplessly abandoned on the roadside.

Jeremiah lamented, “For my dear broken people, I’m heartbroken. I weep, seized by grief. Are there no healing ointments in Gilead? Isn’t there a doctor in the house?” (Jeremiah 8:21 MSG)

Jesus is the doctor who has come to heal our hearts, and His healing medicine is His Father’s adoptive love!

We in the church are stricken with a condition called orphanitis. Many of us are still complete strangers to this heavenly adoptive love. But Jesus declared, “I will not leave you as orphans!” (John 14:18).

Inner healing is a means unto an end, and that end is to cover the earth with an army of heart healers who carry the mystical balm of Gilead to apply to wounded and traumatised hearts.

Let’s immerse our hearts deeply in this healing balm that flows freely from heaven!

True leadership in the Kingdom begins with a deep foundation of service. In Matthew 20:20-28 (NLT), Jesus teaches: 
“Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant. Whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave. For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve others and to give His life as a ransom for many.”

Our ministries start with serving in the simplest ways—washing dishes, setting up chairs, and cleaning toilets.

Have you noticed that God’s preparation involves more than we would choose? He goes after our vulnerability and honesty. Have you seen that things always take longer, run deeper, and are often more mysterious because they can’t be grasped by natural thinking or the soul? We always expect promises to be fulfilled overnight, yet we must wait for God to release them. We expect remuneration commensurate with our sacrifices, yet sometimes God doesn’t do things our way! In fact He usually does things His way!

The RIVER is a metaphor for the Spirit moving in us with His refreshing grace! It flows straight from His heart to us as refreshment, filled with every resource we need.

It powerfully works through us—both washing over us and carrying us away...

Lets dive in..
💧Psalm 46:4: Speaks of a joyful river that brings gladness and peace to God’s people.

💧Ezekiel 47:1–12: Shares a beautiful vision of a river flowing from the temple. It gets deeper and deeper as it goes, bringing vibrant life, healing, and green trees to dry deserts.

💧John 7:38: Reminds us of Jesus’ incredible promise that “rivers of living water”—the Holy Spirit—will bubble up and flow right out of our own hearts.

💧Revelation 22:1: Paints a picture of our ultimate future, where the crystal-clear river of life flows directly from the throne of God.

When we connect to the RIVER, everything changes!

This divine river was destined to flow through our own hearts! God doesn’t just fill us up to keep it to ourselves; He wants His love to flow through us, bringing hope, healing, and new life to a dry and weary world. You become a conduit of this river.

You were made for the glory of God not for this thing you’re going through. Keep heading towards His light and remember His mercy and sacrifice gave you breath to live and life to live. The enemy has a plan to destroy you. Get used to it. Get clever at rising up above the narrative of fear and hopelessness and trust God wholeheartedly with all your mind and heart. What’s coming on the earth is for sons and daughters who live in His promises! Who dwell in His grace and rest in Him. It’s getting darker but the light is getting brighter too!! So don’t fear. The light is getting way bright. Your future is so so bright! That’s why the enemy is hounding you, trying to wear you down! Keep going towards His light.

“Take the old prophets as your mentors. They put up with anything, went through everything, and never once quit, all the time honoring God. What a gift life is to those who stay the course! You’ve heard, of course, of Job’s staying power, and you know how God brought it all together for him at the end. That’s because God cares, cares right down to the last detail.
And since you know that he cares, let your language show it. Don’t add words like “I swear to God” to your own words. Don’t show your impatience by concocting oaths to hurry up God. Just say yes or no. Just say what is true. That way, your language can’t be used against you.”
