National Night Out in Harlem BTS🫱🏾‍🫲🏽🔥 Special Thanks & Congratulations to @fayalajr1 @cm_encarnacion @cmdianaayalanyc @senatorccleare @senatorserrano @nycmayor & 23rd Precinct @nypd for putting together an amazing event with great vibes and performances🙏🏽👏🏽🫡 A great time was had with some of the cast and everyone we met and spoke to❗️🙌🏽

The reason for this event is the same reason why @courageousmusical was made — to give our youth a place to feel safe, protected, and able to enjoy life. But even more than that, to have access to resources and opportunities that turn their potential into a real future, instead of hanging in places that offer nothing but wasted time and bad influence that constantly and increasingly lead to the system or an early grave. 🙇🏽‍♂️

Stay tuned, more is on the way. Like, comment, follow so you don’t miss out, and share so your friends and family can hear about @courageousmusical 🎭🎶🔊

special s/o @jkmusic.duh for one of the great performances during the event 👏🏽👏🏽

Who you Bettin On to always keep it real in his music?

The world doesn’t need another perfectly curated image, another algorithm-approved version of who you are.

It doesn’t need another façade. It needs you, your story, your flaws, your perspective & truth. That’s what people connect with. Not because it’s perfect…but because it’s real.

To every artist, creator, and dreamer:

Don’t be afraid to show the version of yourself that can’t be manufactured. The version that isn’t over-edited or isn’t AI-enhanced. The version that has lived through something. The things you’ve survived might become the reason someone else keeps going.

That’s the kind of artist I want to be. I’m not here to build an image or give you a polished facade. I’m here to build a connection.

I’m here to give you my story—raw and real.
I’m here to make music you feel.

For the people carrying emotions they don’t always have words for. The ones who refuse to fit inside the boxes this world tries to put them in.
Who love deeply, keep creating through pain, chooses purpose over comfort, and who refuse to give up.

If my music helps you feel, see, escape, or find the courage to embrace your own story…
Then I’m doing exactly what I came here to do.

My first take was technically right.

The emotion wasn’t there.

My boy stopped me and said, “The energy’s off.”

He knew exactly what I was trying to do. Instead of letting the words out, I was focused on getting the melody right.

And he was right.

So I stepped back in and stopped trying to sing it correctly…

I started living what I wrote.

That’s the kind of people you need around you.

To every artist:

Don’t fear criticism.

Fear being surrounded by people who are afraid to tell you the truth.

Protect your vision—not your ego.

The right feedback doesn’t kill your vision…

It sharpens it.

That’s the kind of artist I want to be.

I’m not here to make songs you just hear.

I’m here to make music you feel.

I want you to feel what’s real.

Because if you can feel it…

You can see yourself in it.

For the dreamers.

The creators.

The fighters.

The people carrying emotions they don’t always have words for.

The ones who break every box life tries to put them in…

Who love hard, even through hurt and pain…

And refuse to give up.

If my music helps you feel something real…

See yourself…

Or escape the boxes this world puts you in…

Then I’m doing exactly what I came here to do.

Meet Mike….Played by multidisciplinary artist and actor Phillip Egalite @philbright_

The sound of the block. The voice everybody follows.

Mike’s the one with the vision. Turning pain into music, turning the streets into a stage. But when the same energy that fuels his art starts fueling real-life violence, the line between performer and participant disappears.

Loyal to his friends. Addicted to the spotlight. Caught in a world where every decision echoes louder than his music.

Some make songs about the streets…
Mike lives them.

See his story unfold in Courageous The Musical
