I enjoyed OTHER MOMMY starring scary Jessica Chastain! The story is a little screwy, but it’s a great time! The editing is excellent, the CGI is cute and done to good effect. There are some very disorienting visuals. Stay through the end credits to listen to the creepy soundtrack music through the theatre speakers! #othermommy

My favorite Austin band TORTURES has just released this amazing new live video at The Recording Conservatory of Austin!

If you want more, here’s an earlier video from Greenheart Graphics:

You can go see them around town (like at Lost Well, and especially Crow Bar!) @torturestx @arynjonathanblack @jmcdowell1 @crowbaraustin @thelostwell @greenheartgraphics @recordingconservatoryofaustin by @philfl0wers

Chrome : not new but essential listening. I got the Chrome box on vinyl in 1982/3, and it’s been blowing my mind ever since. In 100 years this band will still be influential. This cd box is new to me: it has a chunky little book in it! (I couldn’t decide on which picture: lights on or off, so you get both! The last one was unintentionally blurry but seems appropriate ) by @philfl0wers

Here’s a reminder that there is a video of Marie Osmond giving a very brief lecture on the Dada art movement, and finishing with a recitation of a poem by Hugo Ball.

FROGS (1972) - Think of it as a Tennessee Williams want-to-be, with swamp creatures exacting revenge on a tired Ray Milland, and a weird synthesizer soundtrack (by Les Baxter). Edit: Instagram framing suucks! by @philfl0wers

I’ve just seen one of the worst films in my 62 years of watching movies. The script and direction (same guy) is abysmally stupid- like done by a 4 year old, the acting is horrible, even the soundtrack is lame! It is Aronovsky’s MOTHER! level bad!
My one wish is that nobody reading this will see Obsession! 👎🏻💩 by @philfl0wers
