An early look at …
THE TALL TREE TALES … an original anthropomorphic story blending noir crime with animist folklore. A tale of loss and redemption, told in nature, ‘red in tooth and claw’.

Currently writing words and making pictures. So it will take a while, but we’ll share what we can when we can.

I found a Triffid
in a garden
in Morlaix.

(Actually a a Red Hot Poker (Kniphofia), also called Torch Lily).

When I stare hard enough at it.
It goes backwards.

It’s the kind of thing I’d imagine Cosmo Sheldrake might like. Hence the tag.

Sound up.

I was on a long train journey.

I wondered how much drama I could get out of this random clip I caught of a man carrying his washing up some steps at the Manufacturere des Tabacs in Morlaix.

About this much it seems, thanks to Bernard Herrmann, and the artist behind the striking anamorphic artwork.

(And the unknown Man with laundry bag)

Anyway.

One month of nocturnal bin ninjas.

I should add that one of these visitors left a parting gift on our doormat that I’ve not yet forgiven them for.

With apologies to @wesandersonplanet & @adesplatofficial for borrowing ‘Mr Fox’s promenade’

This arrived in the post today …

… My News & Documentary Emmy for my part in the @actualfilmsdocs @netflixfilm documentary IN WAVES AND WAR @inwavesandwar …

We created a series of key sequences for the film @studioaka over 11 months and it is gratifying to have been awarded for the work.

Producer @k.nikki attended the ceremony back in May and the animation directing team, including me, @stevesmalluk @gergely.wootsch and @marcusanimation all got to do an unboxing of their statue - like this one! - this week.

A tip of the hat to directors @jonshenk & @bcshenk for having us as part of their team.

Ibogaine treatment for OTSD, addiction and psychological trauma has finally gained some traction towards accelerating research and clinical trials, thanks in no small part to the efforts of @marcus_amber_capone at @veteransolutions - the treatment has societally beneficial potential which I hope becomes more widely available.

Thanks to @theemmys.tv @emmysnatas for the recognition.

Watch IN WAVES AND WAR on Netflix now.
