my debut album “goodbye, see u soon” will be out on october 9th 2026 <3“42” from the album is out now everywhereit’s surreal i finally get to say this. i wrote and recorded this record from 2022-2025, between my granny’s house and a remote cabin in france. what i learned is: it’s really hard making an entire album by yourself when your brain is your worst enemy. but i did it. and it will be out for you to hear in october. <3 a blue and red vinyl, a cd, and a motel-key-style usb stick (usb containing the album and a full album documentary) are available for pre-order right now. each signed and limited to 100pcs. thank you so much for your support over the years that allowed me to spend the time and money on making an entire album. i appreciate you so much. <3 ps: the last slide has a little teaser of one of the album’s songs :) by @philipjbrooks

"mountain songs" by @runo_plum and me is out now ☆ﾟ*･｡ﾟwe wrote and recorded the ep last summer, after meeting for the first time, when ru flew out to stay with me at my grandma's house. it to me holds the essence and emotions of us establishing our relationship. writing together felt so natural and easy. i would play around with guitar lines, and ru would right away come up with melodies and lyrics."come home quickly" is about falling into anxious overthinking loops. ru recorded the vocal arrangement as i was making dinner and i almost cried when she showed me."fish food" is a real story of us almost losing our minds trying to find the source of a horrible smell in the music room. it actually started as a piano ballad, but turned into us listing stinky things and then into the song it is now.for "boat song" we conjoined 4 microphone cables and hung them out of the and floor window, so we can record in the garden. singing shoulder to shoulder into one microphone. grandma watching us from the porch.the last week of us being there, we took my dad's car to the alps. sleeping in the back in a foggy parking lot between tall mountains. there we wrote "mountain" and decided it feels like a conclusion to our time together, making the ep "mountain songs"i appreciate you giving it a listen and hope you like it ♥ by @philipjbrooks

hi, my new song called "i just learned to love that way" is out now <3 i'm working on my first full-length album, but i wanted to give you another release before i disappear in the studio. it's part of a double single called "in a house by a stream" (out nov 24th), which you can now pre-order as a limited edition 7"vinyl record. all sales help me make the album. <3 i wrote "i just learned to love that way" in the middle of the claud tour on my friend katie's roof. playing my first tours this year has really made it clear for me, that i want to spend my life dedicated to music and to finding/building family in a community of other artists - instead of 'starting a family' the traditional way. this song is embracing that, whilst also somewhat grieving the life i felt was chosen for me. it's also the first ever song i play violin on!written and produced by memastered by @katietavini at @weird_jungle cover photo by my dadrecorded at my grandparents' house (ps: these make a great christmas gift and ill make sure they get delivered before christmas <3) by @philipjbrooks

“time starts fading” is out now!! ☆.*･｡ﾟi have struggled with dissociation / derealisation all my life, at times going weeks without really noticing that i even exist at all. i was stuck in a cycle of forcing myself to do things, be present in the world, and burning out from it. over and over. i am a lot better now, but this song was written in the real thick of it.i’ll never forget how proud i felt when i finished this song. i was jumping around the living room in the dark with my headphones on listening to it over and over. and i still feel just as proud. i’d love to hear what you think, thank you for listening <3 by @philipjbrooks

“time starts fading” is out on friday, july 17th <3 i’ve been having a little bit of a hard time in life and with music recently, but i’m very happy this song is the next i get to share with you. it feels very in line with what i’m going through atm, and also is just one i’m extremely proud of. by @philipjbrooks

"body" has been out for one week now! this has been an unbelievably vulnerable one to share, i was debating on putting it out or not for a long time. especially at this time in history. but it felt important for me to share it, and i'm very glad it did. thank you for listening and your kind responses to this one. <3⁠⁠here are some things from making the song and video:⁠⁠1. recording the first demo at the cabin in france⁠2. when the guitar line was clarinet for a short while lol⁠3. the video i recorded for myself to remember the song⁠4. from the week we filmed the music video⁠5. one of the demos i made for it, this time on tape⁠6. @bettausrosen the morning we filmed the music video, it was 4am in november, pouring rain, and i had also left the car unlocked with the keys in the ignition... truly grateful for what edwin puts up with with me lol⁠7. from the week we fimed the music video⁠8. from a little zine edwin made me of our time in france :)⁠⁠<3 by @philipjbrooks

"body" is out now everywhere !! ☆.*･｡ﾟ⁠⁠i'll be honest, i almost chickened out of putting this one on the album. i wrote it after a conversation with a friend about having to have "the talk" before sleeping with someone new, about your boundaries and what you won't do with your body, for various reasons of queerness. and how it feels to have those boundaries pushed and crossed. ⁠i've never been one to openly talk about these things, and releasing a song so visible feels scary in the current time we live in. but i do not want to let fear silence me. so though i'm sharing this song with some nervousness, i'm also quite excited and relieved for it to be out in the world. ⁠i would really appreciate if you gave it a listen and hope you like it, thank you. <3 ⁠⁠the music video filmed by @bettausrosen is now live on youtube⁠⁠"body" written, produced and performed by me⁠mastered by @joshbonati⁠a @nettwerkmusic release by @philipjbrooks

it's 4 weeks of 42 today! thank you so much for the love on it, it's been a dream to build the world around this song and to finally get to share everything with you. after being away and not releasing for so long, i was so scared that no one would care anymore and i would be starting all over again. especially with songs that mean as much to me as 42 does, the thought of this made me so anxious leading up to the release. so i'm very grateful for everyone who still cares and is nice to me (and of course also everyone that's new here, hi) <3 thank you⁠⁠here are some things from the 42 campaign makings:⁠⁠1. me in my granny's garden when i was small⁠2. after we filmed the crying scene for the 42 video and i still had menthol tear stick in my eyes lol⁠3. 42 lyrics⁠4. layers in the 42 outro that i like⁠5. field recording in france⁠6. notes for the 42 music video⁠7. the boiler suit i sewed a 42 onto for the music video opening shot⁠8. edwin the night we shot the bunker scenes and wrapped up the music video shoot⁠9. trying on the dress i bought for the music video⁠10. @thisisbridger 's beautiful pedal steel additions that made the song feel complete to me by @philipjbrooks
