Fitting this light piece took hours to assemble today with four men and ‘me’ standing by to get the height right ! .. But worth the wait as I feel it grounds the space and fills the room with joy. Special thanks to my Client’s who trusted my judgment that this fixture would work in the zone. #studio44design #interiordesignlighting #designireland #lightingdesign by @philippabuckley
Holiday nearly over spent in one of my favourite islands. Inspiration taken from the architecture, design detail and the colours and textures that Majorca has to offer. I’ll always come back… by @philippabuckley
@schiaparelli Exhibition in the V&A London yesterday … did not disappoint. It is wonderfully curated with a collection of stunning timeless, elegant design work combined with artworks, Jewellery and accessories. Schiaparelli’s’ influence on the Fashion world from as early as the 1920’s is is evident right up to today with her sharp@tailoring, intricate embroidery with buttons made/used like pieces of jewellery … timeless elegant pieces.#studio44design #designireland #fashion-style @V&A by @philippabuckley
Designing a new Kitchen for a period house that was formally a dining room in a family home for the last 50 years. We’re giving this room a new lease of life - purpose that is flooded with light onto a south facing Garden. The Design intent was that it would have an overall Design aesthetic of a French or Italian style Kitchen in an old building. Collaborating with House kitchens by Noel Dempsey, @housekitchens , we are very pleased to be working with them on this project. So excited to see the final finished result #studio44design #interiordesign #interiordesignlighting #housekitchens #renovation by @philippabuckley
So excited to be sharing this new Kitchen design for a first floor period house. The finish will be a painted slim shaker style with Costino Stone - ethereal glow complete with brass accents complemented with a Quooker fusion tap, also in brass. The Design intent was to create a Parisian or Italian style Kitchen in a room that was has been originally used as a dining room for many years in this family home. We are so pleased to be collaborating with David Dempsey from House kitchens on this project as attention to detail and the sharp execution of the overall design aesthetic is crucial to us. @housekitchens #studio44design #interiordesign #housekitchens #designireland #lightingdesign by @philippabuckley

Window blinds.. lots of choices but our favourite is from the Italian brand Tao who have achieved international recognition for their exclusive design and high technological standards; offering an extensive range of textile solutions that encompass modern and classical styling; tastefully designed and embodying themed Italian attention to detail, quality materials and first rate craftsmanship. The blinds can be hardwired at first fix, battery or manually operated . Our favourite element are the minimalist finials featuring their discrete brand logo in a choice of finishes and the blind end finish. Sheer or blackout or both fabrics on the same window with both recessed and surface mounted options.
