I think half of life is setting goals, putting your head down, and chasing them.

The other half is learning not to let your expectations steal the joy from actually living it.

Sometimes you don’t hit the goal. Sometimes life doesn’t go the way you pictured it. Sometimes the thing you were so sure would make you happy just… doesn’t.

And that’s okay.

There’s something freeing about letting yourself have fun, enjoying where you are, and watching what happens when you stop measuring every moment against what you thought your life was supposed to look like.

Because sometimes you look up and realize you’ve already outpaced the version of yourself who thought you couldn’t.

Set goals. Chase them. Push yourself.

But leave some room for life to surprise you.
