10th at the SOB 50k; first ultra as a dad, which means that I ran incredibly congested and grateful for the baby coverage that @sydney__jeanne and the O'Sullivan family provided!

Shoutout to @rachelanjenee for crushing her first 50k and giving us an excuse to come out and have a lovely family vacation. Life is good in Ashland!!

Also can someone teach me how to look normal in a race photo??

🥉 at the Dirty Dog Marathon last weekend 😇

This gorgeous race has the best trophies (swipe right); it also packs almost 5,000ft of climbing into the first half, which means that you can glide down to the finish.

At some point on this 9+ hr, 10k+ ft, 17 mile (???) day, @lotti_brinks said something about how adventure is defined by not knowing where your next steps will take you.

I can't say that I remember exactly how she phrased it, because I was totally locked in on the path ahead of me.

For my first day off of work in quite a while, that was quite the adventure. I haven't had a full day in the mountains like that in an extremely long time (timberline with Sydney??). Adventure bank is full. Back to runnable trails now please.

Cowgill takes 🥈 at the Boise Greenbelt Relay! 46 miles in 4h59m.

This was Cass's first race. I'm glad we didn't win because I don't want him to think things should come easy.

God it's fun to race again!!! Ran straight uphill (2.25 miles, 2400ft) with Jeff Case and a bunch of other cows on Friday night, cheered for Sydney Dessie Colton Lotti and others on Saturday, and got some gorgeous asphalt in on Sunday.

Cass got to have his first race weekend and it was a party!!

There are so many great ways to lead a fun and good life.

Recently, I discovered a really good combo: baby + running + wine + roadtrips + rainbows + sunsets + friends + family + beer miles + trails

I finally signed up for a couple races that aren't beer miles. See you in the Gorge and/or in the mountains around McCall
