MY DEBUT EP ‘NOT LIKE YOU’ IS OUT IN THE WORLD! 💕♥️🫧

What a journey, what a ride!! This moment is so so special to me and I feel like I’ve been waiting my whole life for it. And now it’s finally here, ready for you to press play. I have been looking at videos of mini me for an hour to add one to this post, because this one’s for her. <3

‘Not Like You’ is a collection of five personal songs, mostly about figuring out who I am, what I need, what I’m scared of, what I want, and what I don’t. They all have their own little place in my heart and I’m so excited they’re also yours now.

I’m so damn grateful because none of this would’ve been possible without a lot of people who have supported, guided and loved me. I love you all. Thanks for making me feel safe and believing in me and my songs (even when I didn’t).

💔❤️
// Dear friends - with sadness but content, we would like to tell you that our YOKKO journey is coming to an end. The upcoming tour will be our last.
We look back on 8 incredibly beautiful years, which we were able to experience as a band - together with many great people. It all started in 2012 with big dreams in a dusty bandroom in the underground of Berne. We were able to carry our music into the world with the mentoring of our label «Muve Recordings». We released two albums and two EPs and played the smallest clubs to large festival stages from Berne, via Berlin, through half of Europe to Japan. In all those years you have diligently come to our concerts, listened to our music and sent us lovely messages. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!! The times in the studio are intense, the pressure you put on yourselves is huge and the final result is often a compromise of different views and feelings. Our ideas drifted more and more apart. So now it is time to devote a little more time to ourselves and our own musical projects.
We would like to celebrate the last YOKKO live shows with you – we’re looking forward to that! We are playing a last spring and summer tour and we will even play some old songs again. (P.S.: “one moment in time” is from Whitney Houston, not from us). All songs from our YOKKO history are now available again on youtube and soon on spotify, itunes etc. Have fun listening and reminiscing.
See you soon, thanks for your great support - this will stay forever!
