I'm excited to officially announce that registration is now OPEN for Philly After School Hype 2026! 📚🎨🏀

Every child deserves the opportunity to discover their passions, build new skills, and connect with programs that help them succeed both inside and outside of the classroom. That's exactly why I'm proud to once again partner with Councilmember Isaiah Thomas, the School District of Philadelphia, and Philadelphia Youth Basketball to bring this event back for another year.

Whether your student is interested in sports, STEM, the arts, mentoring, tutoring, leadership, or academic support, Philly After School Hype is your opportunity to meet organizations from across the city—all in one place!

This is more than just a fun day out. It's about connecting families with real opportunities that can make a difference throughout the school year.

This legislative year, I remained focused on what matters most: delivering results for the people of the 9th District.

Whether through legislation, community partnerships, traffic safety improvements, investments in young people, or recognizing the individuals and organizations making a difference in our neighborhoods, my goal has been to ensure that the voices of our communities are reflected in the work we do every day.

I am grateful to every neighbor, stakeholder, advocate, community organization, and partner who took the time to share ideas, raise concerns, and help move our district forward.

The work continues, and I remain committed to building safer neighborhoods, expanding opportunities, and delivering meaningful progress across the 9th District. by @phillipsdist9

I'm excited to announce the launch of the 9th District Community Farmers Market, a new initiative in partnership with Sharing Excess to bring FREE fresh produce, community resources, and neighborhood connection directly to the Wadsworth Avenue corridor.

Whether you're stopping by to pick up fresh fruits and vegetables, connect with local organizations, shop with local vendors, or simply spend time with your neighbors, there's something for everyone. Together, we're creating healthier neighborhoods and expanding access to fresh food right here in the 9th District!

We're currently looking for food vendors, local farmers, gardeners, beekeepers, crafters, artisans, and other small businesses to be part of this exciting new community tradition. Interested vendors can sign up by scanning the QR code on the flyer or by clicking the link in our bio.

Counterfeit Property Management better known as @coniferrealty please know we are not playing with you. These are our seniors!

Today we observed no air throughout common areas in the building and in many apt units, broken floors, broken windows, mice, trash, and learned about a leasing manager that is incredibly rude to residents.

Licenses and Inspections came out to investigate just now and I'm just getting started. Thank you @phillymayor for working with me to address this issue. by @phillipsdist9

Our commitment to the Northeast Philadelphia Islamic Center and our Muslim neighbors remains unwavering.

Acts of hate have no place in the 9th District or anywhere in Philadelphia. A house of worship should always be a place of peace, refuge, and community—not fear.

In the days since this heartbreaking incident, my office has remained committed to standing alongside the congregation and supporting our Muslim neighbors. The strength of our community is measured not by the challenges we face, but by how we come together in response.
