⚽️ Had such a brilliant season directing on the English Football League for IMG over the past 8-9 months with one of the best goals of the season to give Blackpool victory over Reading on Saturday. A really great way to finish the season off.
Thanks to everyone at IMG for all their hard work including all the brilliant replay ops & commentators as well as the fantastic camera crews that I have been fortunate to work with.
Started my TV career as a runner for HBO Sports at Wimbledon many years ago and then worked for them in a variety of roles for about 6 Championships before choosing to leave the industry to travel the world (book on this currently being published!!!). 📖
Having worked outside the industry for a number of years, I can confidently say that I feel truly blessed to be directing football/ tennis and doing something I absolutely love.

Had the great privilege and pleasure of working at the War Graves Commission this week.
For those of you who don’t know, it’s a fantastic organisation responsible for commemorating the 1.7m Commonwealth soldiers who died during the First and Second World Wars.
The Commission covers about 23,000 meticulously and beautifully kept sites across the world in over 150 countries and territories.
They are committed to maintaining these sites forever and the work that they do is a fitting tribute to those who sacrificed so much for our freedom.
This was a humbling experience and I would like to thank all the lovely people at the Commission for making us all feel so welcome at their headquarters.

So great to be back at Ally Pally as camera director on the Sammy Virji gig last weekend.
The crowd were loving it and the whole vibe was electric - it was heaving.
I directed, cut and operated 6 PTZ’s (a new record for me!) and thoroughly enjoyed working with my fantastic crew.
Massive thanks to them and to Colour Sound Experiment for having me on board again - great company to work for.

Still recovering from last weekend’s amazing C2C country and western music festival that I directed for 80six again this year at the Hydro in Glasgow - and it didn’t disappoint.
It has to be one of the best music festivals going with some really incredible acts who are mainly from midwest USA - all amazing artists and musicians.

3 days, 2 stages and some fantastic performances with one of the best crews ever and a thoroughly enjoyable experience in a laid back atmosphere, working alongside a very friendly and helpful local crew.

We received outstanding feedback from artists, production, audience alike and it was not only a great event to work on, it was also hugely enjoyable - which is just the way it should be.

Thanks to all the fantastic crew I was lucky enough to work with and to 80six for inviting me back to direct one of the best gigs on the circuit - in the fantastic city of Glasgow which I have grown to love.

Brilliant weekend.

Looking forward to next year's event already.
Y’all come back now, ya hear!

The MTV reunion this weekend was amazing - it was great to catch up with so many old friends and former colleagues. Reminded me of all the great times we had working on music shows daily and spending our days having fun. I miss it but the opportunities that resulted from working there have given me the chance to direct so many fantastic music projects with lots of great artists since going freelance 20 years ago.
It was a real privilege to be part of MTV and I will be forever grateful for the best 12 years of my working life.
Had such a great time on Saturday night and laughed most of the night away. This needs to be an annual event.

Setting up for the show last Friday. Loved directing this DJ festival at the Onyx Arena - fantastic atmosphere and a great (very energetic) crowd.

Gala Da Danza - one of the most incredible productions I have ever directed. An electic mix of ballet, contemporary dance and ballroom. Absolutely loved it.

Had the most amazing time directing the outside courts at Roland Garros on the French Open tennis over the past few weeks - remotely from Timeline in London using SimplyLive.
Great crew, lovely atmosphere and a real pleasure to direct for Whisper. Special thanks goes to Michael Burke and Matt Roberts for making this such an enjoyable experience. Met some great people on this job and loved every minute of it.
Now looking forward to Wimbledon where my tv career all started for HBO Sports many years ago as a runner for the amazing Billie Jean King and Arthur Ashe who were both lovely.
At the end of that first Wimbledon, Arthur stuck a fiver in my shirt pocket and said, "Great job, Phil" and Billie Jean found me a full time job with a British TV OB company (Trilion).
If the truth be known, I was a terrible runner, spending far too much time watching the tennis and explaining the rules of cricket (which was on tv in the green room) to my American colleagues rather than actually running.
They did not understand how a game could last for 5 days and still end up in a draw. They might have a point there, to be honest!!!
This year will be my 11th Wimbledon Championships - can't wait - still loving it!!! 😀 by @phillyboyjennings

What a fantastic atmosphere at Spurs last night and a decent result too - thank you to everyone at THFC for giving me the chance to fulfil a dream of working for the club that I have supported all my life. In 1925, my great uncle, Alf Jennings, was playing at Spurs and now a hundred years later, I’m there too, albeit in a slightly different role.
