x @phillyflowacademy Rope Dart workshop with Ni3 was such a good reminder of how important beginner spaces are.

People came in curious, nervous, excited, confused, determined, and left with a stronger understanding of how this flow arts prop actually works.

A lot of tangled ropes. A lot of laughs. A lot of “wait… I think I got it??”

Huge thank you to everyone who showed up willing to learn, and to Ni3 for sharing so much knowledge and patience with the community. @3rd_gen_isler

More workshops soon! Taking a little break in May while we prep for Magic Garden at Liberty Point with @departedtogether, Liminal, and @pex_phila_experiment on 5/30, then @phillymoonjams with @getupart and @jerarddarian on 5/31 at #PennTreatyPark for my birthday ✨

Also… stay tuned for @FlowFestPhilly on October 4, 2026 👀 Workshops, performances, vendors, music, and a full day centered around flow arts in Philadelphia.

Main character energy!!!
Really proud of everyone who came out to the Rope Dart workshop!

A room full of Rope Darters trying some new moves, getting wrapped up (literally), laughing through the learning process (aka the bruises), and slowly starting to make the movements click.

Big thank you to Ni3 for sharing his knowledge with the community. @3rd_gen_isler

Workshops return in June with @x.ehra on #firefans

You’ve probably seen #RopeDart and felt curious about it.

It moves fast. It wraps around the body. It looks technical.

What most people don’t realize is that Rope Dart is learned in pieces. You start with tethering, how the leash connects to the wrist. You learn where the wrap sits on your torso and how it holds. You explore how the weight travels from a knee shot and how to guide it into the next connecting move instead of reacting to it.

When you slow it down and build it step by step, it starts to click.

On April 30 from 7:00–8:30 PM, Nate aka “Ni3” aka @3rd_gen_isler will be teaching Rope Dart at the Community Education Center on Lancaster Ave in University City 19104.

Nate has been training since 2013 and is an instructor with Rope Dart Academy. He brings technical depth, real practice experience, and a clear teaching style into the room.

This is a space to gather and try something new in a focused learning environment.

Beginner friendly.

We do ask that you arrive with a basic understanding of Rope Dart terminology and movement. Please review a few beginner Rope Dart tutorials on YouTube beforehand, and take a look at Nate’s website and Instagram so we can all start on the same page and make the most of our time together.

See you there.

Last year Joe Campbell welded a fire wick onto @ninja__witch metal sai and literally brought them back to life.

This year he’ll be at the Wick & Grip workshop at Metal Inc doing welding + fire prop repairs ((at his leisure))

If you’ve got:

• broken or bent spokes
• loose or sketchy welds
• props you want quick-wick attachments added to
• anything metal that needs reinforcement

…bring it.
Priced per service IRL 💵 #tipyourartists

This only happens once a year and it’s one of those rare chances to get real welding work done by someone who actually understands fire props.

We may also have kevlar / parts available depending on supply. We HIGHLY SUGGEST you bring your own materials.

Bring your broken props. Seriously.

After the Hoop Jawn workshops… we’re taking it to the park!
#MinimalChaosParkParty @thehoopjawn

March 27 • starting around 7:30pm • @thehoopjawn

Picnic-style community flow night.
Designated fire circle.

Sound by @s0mething.0ut.there + @grootboiisound 🎶

Bring a blanket, water, layers, and your props, and come settle in for the night.

If you plan to spin fire, bring a can of white gas or be ready to chip in for fuel.

Same energy as the @phillymoonjams.

Warm up yoga by @spirit_lab_ @heyitskel_c

A place to unwind, spin, hang out, and close out the day together.

Good music. Good people. Good times.

Open to everyone.

Respect the circle = Fire safety after fire spinning.

Hope to see you there.
