Awab and his family have been forced to flee multiple times due to attacks by the RSF, and they are now trying to reach safety in Egypt. They’re facing extreme hardships, living in shelters with limited food and protection. We’re raising funds for their transportation, temporary shelter, basic needs, and educational support for his younger siblings. Save the date! Join us on May 22nd for a special screening of My Father’s Shadow directed by @akinoladaviesjr. The film follows two young brothers exploring 1993 Lagos with their estranged father amid political unrest following the Nigerian election.

Tickets are available via the registration link in our bio! Light refreshments will be available for purchase. Discussion to follow.

Join us Sunday, May 3rd at 4PM after the Church of the Revolution service at Green Street Friends Meeting House for a community Artist Market and Mix & Mingle.

Local artists, makers, and community members are invited to share work, connect, and support mutual aid efforts.
- No vendor fee - We simply ask for 15% of final sales to go toward community support

All donations will support: • A musician and his family in Gaza • A grassroots Sudanese mutual aid project • An undocumented family of four from Guatemala living in Philly

We were so moved and inspired during last week’s viewing of Hind Meddeb’s “Sudan, Remember Us”. It showed us the resilience of Sudanese revolutionaries who ground themselves through community, poetry, and art. We take with us lessons from the thoughtful discussions and reflections that we will carry over into our advocacy work. Thanks to all of the collaborators for hosting a night of reflection, advocacy and community. by @phillyforsudan
