Last Friday we hosted Philly’s first Gen Audio × Tech meetup, PTE x Audiotool NEXUS, and it exceeded every expectation.

Nearly 60 people came out to explore what’s happening at the intersection of generative audio, AI, and music tech.

Massive thanks to Andreas Jacobi and Mirta Gilson from Audiotool for joining us all the way from Germany to show our developer community what’s possible on their NEXUS platform, with a live DJ set running the whole night to boot.

And to the team that made it run: Aryan Katragadda, Isayah Young-Burke, Randall Spence, Nolan Makatche and Liam Fitzgerald.

Shoutout also to Rithik Kundu, Grace Francisco and Dave Schneider for the early pushes that got this off the ground.

This is just the beginning. We’re building Philly’s third space for founders, and there’s a lot more coming.

Next up, and you don’t have to wait long:

Founder Junto Coworking, Tuesday 8/25 from 12 to 5 PM.
Location: Blockspace Philly

A third space for founders, creatives, and engineers to cowork and collaborate in a low-pressure environment. No agenda, no schedule, free coworking.

Just show up and work. RSVP to secure your spot while you still can.

Philly Founders House Rooftop Vol 2 is in the books.

A nor’easter rolled in two days out, and we moved a sold-out rooftop event indoors with 48 hours’ notice. New venue, new layout, new plan, same night. 101 Speakeasy opened their doors and we pulled it off.

Huge thank you to the team who made it happen: Tim Gu, Trent, Scott, Paige, Gautham, and Nolan.

Tickets, sponsors, decor, logistics, and then half of it rebuilt when the weather turned. Nobody blinked.

Thank you to the three communities behind this one: Philly Founders House, Philly Social Club, and Philly Tech Entrepreneurs. Three communities, one night, one city.

Cache Ginger ran the music all night and kept the room moving. Thank you.

Thank you to 101 Speakeasy for the venue and the hospitality, and to Not Pizza for keeping the bar going.

And thank you to everyone who came out anyway. Founders, builders, and operators in one room on a rainy Saturday is exactly the point. The rain didn’t slow anything down. taken in Center City, Philadelphia by @phillyteche

We’re building a lot of open source projects:

• Agentflow: talk out loud with your Claude Code and Codex sessions

• Claude Intercept: see all the traffic on your computer, decrypted, including undocumented APIs. Great for QA and reverse engineering APIs. Built with our friend William Haesemeyer

• FlyOnTheWall: an open source Granola alternative. A local-first meeting recorder, no bot joins your call

• Murmur: an open source Wispr Flow alternative. Hold Control, speak, and it types for you on macOS

• Jarvis: our open source take on Hermes and OpenClaw, but better. A self-hosted AI assistant that runs your inbox and your relationships
◦ Triages 15+ channels, from Gmail and Slack to LinkedIn, WhatsApp, and X
◦ Drafts replies in your voice and waits for your approval
◦ Acts as a proactive CRM that nudges you about stale contacts and upcoming events
◦ Gets smarter the more you use it, as its knowledge base grows
◦ Improves itself by shipping new features autonomously every day

🐱 My cofounder Chris Crimi also built SeaCat, a Jev alternative for fast AI decisions with the odds attached. Send up to 64 multiple-choice, rating, or yes/no questions and get every answer back with probabilities, at $0.20 per million input tokens.

Philly Tech Entrepreneurs is back, and the momentum is real. Last month we relaunched as an official Audiotool NEXUS Satellite Meetup at Blockspace Philly, and the room delivered.

Material. Density. Spark.

Late one night around a fire in Stone Harbor, Chris Crimi, my co-founder of Ship Systems and partner at Panga, explained how growth actually works.

There’s linear growth, where what you put in is roughly what you get out.

Then there are power laws. For a long time you put in effort and energy and almost nothing happens. Then it takes off and compounds.

Wildfires work the same way. They need material, they need that material packed close together, and they need a spark.

Look around a room full of founders, builders and people who care about what they’re making, and the material is already there. As Chris put it: “We can spread our ideas like wildfires spread energy, and put ourselves on the map!”

So here’s how we’re spending the last weekend of September:

Founder Junto #1 is in the books.

Thank you to everyone who came out to Blockspace Philly.

And.... We’re running it back!

· 12 to 5PM
· Blockspace Philly Community Coworking

schedule. Just founders coworking.

idea to sketch, a startup to push forward. Find a spot, go heads-down,
and put in real work alongside other people doing the same.

Good company, no pressure, actual work getting done.

(The name is a nod to the Junto, the club Franklin started in Philly back
in 1727, where tradesmen and thinkers met to sharpen one another. Same
spirit, different tools.)

last:

Tonight’s the night. Philly Tech Entrepreneurs is back, and this is the energy we’re bringing.

Today we officially relaunch as an Audiotool Satellite Meetup, kicking it off with a night built around community, music, and where AI-powered creativity goes next.

Forget the conference format and the keynote marathons. This is just founders, developers, designers, researchers, creators, and startup people back in one room together.

We’ll be unveiling Audiotool NEXUS, giving you a first look at the August 23 NEXUS Hackathon, and sharing what’s ahead for the developer workshops. And of course, live music.

Over 50 people have already signed up and only a few spots left. We’re close to maxed out, so RSVP ASAP before we’re full.

Tonight, Friday, August 14, 2026, 6:00 to 9:00 PM EDT
Blockspace Philly Community Coworking, 215 S Broad St, Philadelphia, PA
RSVP here: https://www.meetup.com/philadelphia-entrepreneur/events/315894876/

Doors open in a few hours. Swing by and reconnect with Philly’s startup scene.

Big thanks to Audiotool, Aryan Katragadda, Isayah Young-Burke, Randall Spence, Liam Fitzgerald, FACTORY GTM, Ship Systems, and Nolan Makatche for making this happen! taken in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by @phillyteche
