Meet Tambayan, a Filipino dessert and sweets spot inside Reading Terminal Market, founded by Chef Kathy! 🍰✨

Before starting her own business, Kathy worked as a server at Olympia for over 21 years before the COVID-19 pandemic changed her path.

Now, with over 6 years of running Tambayan, Kathy continues to share her culture and passion through authentic Filipino desserts and dishes inspired by her late father. ❤️🇵🇭 Her story is a beautiful reminder of how food can bring people together and keep traditions alive.

☕️✨ Cafe Sunday | @herdaughterscafe ✨☕️

This week’s Cafe Sunday brought us to Her Daughter’s Cafe, located in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia! 📍

First off, let’s talk about the atmosphere! 😍 This cafe has such a unique, cozy, eclectic vibe! From the vintage style furniture and beautiful greenery to the colorful artwork and charming little lounge area, there’s so much character throughout the space! It’s giving artsy, homey, and a little retro all in one! 🌿🪴 There’s also plenty of seating, whether you’re stopping in for a quick coffee or looking to sit back and relax!

Now let’s get into what we tried! 🤭

🍂 Fall Specials: I tried the Oatmeal Cream Pie Iced Latte and the Brown Butter Pumpkin Cold Brew, and BOTH were delicious! But that Oatmeal Cream Pie Latte?! So good I literally went back and ordered another one before leaving! 😂☕️

🥪 Food: I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich, which was really good! My husband went with the Classic BLT, and he enjoyed his as well!

🍰 Something Sweet: Of course, we couldn’t leave without trying a slice of their Butter Cake! It was super rich, sweet, and definitely a treat for anyone with a sweet tooth!

Overall, Her Daughter’s Cafe was such a great find! Between the delicious drinks, good food, and charming atmosphere, it’s definitely a spot I’d visit again! Especially for that Oatmeal Cream Pie Latte! 🤭🤎

Had a dope time talking to @jiujitsumatrix at @balancemma about @tatsutea , the strides he’s made in his years as a mixed martial artist, and his dream for his ever-growing MMA community.

I walked away not only being in awe by the mission of Balance, but also the dedication Phil has to every aspect of his life and how he fuses them together seamlessly in a way only a Philadelphian could.

I even got some free Tatsu! With matcha green tea, electrolytes, and vitamins I was on GO for my set later that night. That being said, like Tatsu’s slogan says, perform with purpose ON PURPOSE taken in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by @phillytodo
