Volunteers are the heartbeat of many youth programs, but commitment matters.
When you sign up to volunteer, our youth are expecting you. They are looking forward to meeting you, learning from you, and connecting with someone who showed up for them.
Unfortunately, we’ve recently experienced several situations where individuals committed to volunteer opportunities and simply didn’t show up. While plans can change, last-minute no-shows create disappointment for the young people we serve and make it difficult for our team to provide the experience they deserve.
Before saying “yes,” please make sure you can truly commit. We’d rather have one dependable volunteer than ten who don’t follow through.
Our youth deserve consistency, reliability, and adults who keep their word.

🎬 Confidence. Creativity. Teamwork. Leadership.

This past Saturday, our Philly Youth leaders got straight to work! 💙

We talked about what it really means to be a leader and learned that leaders aren’t always the loudest people in the room. They’re the people who use their voice with purpose because what they have to say matters.

We practiced positive affirmations, built confidence, and reminded ourselves that leadership is shown through our actions every single day.

Then things got fun! 🎉 Teams were challenged to create a commercial using a random object, and let’s just say the creativity was on another level! From brainstorming ideas to presenting in front of the group, our youth showed what teamwork and leadership look like in action.

To end the day, each participant wrote a letter to their future self, mapping out their dreams, goals, and the leader they hope to become. ✨

Day 1 = COMPLETE ✅
