Philomène Jander est une danseuse et chorégraphe basée entre Paris et Marseille. Elle est diplômée de @p.a.r.t.s._ (Performing Arts Research and Training Studios) en 2022. Philomène Jander développe un travail d’interprète et de créatrice. Elle travaille notamment depuis 2023 avec @nemoflouret en tant que collaboratrice artistique (Derniers Feux, 2025) et en tant qu’interprète (900 Something Days Spent in the XXth Century, 2023 ; Dance Parc : a playground project, 2024 ; 900 Satellites, 2024 ; Derniers Feux, 2025). Elle travaille aussi avec @simonleborgne (Ab Libitum, 2025), @zoelakhnati (This is la mort, 2025) et @solene.wachter (Machine à spectacle, 2026), en tant qu’assistante chorégraphique, conseil artistique ou regard extérieur. Elle participe à la création collective Gush is Great, primé à Danse élargie 2024 et sélectionné à @aerowaves_europe en 2025. En 2024 elle a créé son premier solo Do we need a body to dance ? performé notamment en 2026 au festival Trente Trente.

Philomène Jander is a dancer and choreographer based between Paris and Marseille. She graduated from P.A.R.T.S. in 2022. Developing both a performer’s and a creator’s practice, she has worked since 2023 with Némo Flouret as an artistic collaborator (Derniers Feux, 2025) and performer (900 Something Days Spent in the XXth Century, 2023; Dance Parc: a Playground Project, 2024; 900 Satellites, 2024; Derniers Feux, 2025).
She also collaborates with Simon Le Borgne (Ab Libitum, 2025), Zoé Lakhnati (This is la mort, 2025), and Solène Wachter (Machine à spectacle, 2026), serving as choreographic assistant, artistic advisor, or outside eye.
She took part in the collective creation Gush is Great, which won Danse Élargie 2024 and was selected for Aerowaves2025. In 2024, she created her first solo, Do We Need a Body to Dance?, which was notably presented at the Trente Trente Festival in 2026.

Pour la deuxième année consécutive, la Ménagerie de verre consacre une semaine à la pratique chorégraphique dans tous ses espaces. Du 29 juin au 3 juillet 2026, neuf workshops ouvrent leurs portes aux danseuses et danseurs professionnels et pré-professionnels.

📣📣 Last but not least: The final episode of the 3rd [8:tension] Podcast season is out now: Production Xx on the mic! 📣📣

Julie, Simon, Philomène, Max, Zoé and Ulysse told us about the start of this piece, when the six of them did not know each other yet, but were invited to develop a piece together – within 5 days. We hear, how they found quite playful ways to fulfill this task and ended up becoming friends and collaborators and touring Gush is great for years.
Gush is great by Production Xx is one of the 11 works, which were invited to the [8:tension] Young Choreographers’ Series 2025 at @impulstanz_festival . Along with this invitation comes the opportunity to spend up to two weeks of residency in Vienna, co-funded by Life Long Burning.

Seule dans un espace noir, habillée en blanc de la tête aux pieds, la silhouette de @philoooooooooooooooooooooo apparait sous un costume lesté de vingt-cinq kg de sel. Son corps ainsi contraint à trouver d’autres manières d’exister s'allège progressivement des cristaux minéraux, matérialisant une œuvre plastique qui redéfinit notre perception du geste. Un paysage se dessine, faisant apparaître la trace éphémère d’un mouvement qui s’évapore.

In 2023, the second edition of De l'impertinence, an artistic and cultural laboratory in Sète (France), brought together artists from different backgrounds, from the Paris Opera Ballet to Conservatoires Supérieurs de Danse in France, contemporary dance schools such as P.A.R.T.S and the Roubaix CCN, to training programmes like CobosMika’s Seeds (Palamòs, Catalonia) and Coline in Istres (France). These artists do not define themselves as a collective but rather form an ecosystem, where some participate in each other's projects while also creating a space for support, collaboration, and creativity.
