The BEST day of the week in Mexico City? It’s not Friday. It’s not even Taco Tuesday. It’s Sunday…when the city shuts down the streets for biking, skating, walking, dancing, and full-on joy.

No cars. Just vibes.
No gym. Just movement.
No excuses. Just you, the bike, and 50+ kilometers of freedom in the heart of CDMX.

🌞 Sundays in Mexico City are basically cardio with a view, and yes.. I love it.

I love experiencing different cultures when I travel…the food, traditions, music, clothing, language, and everyday life. For me, it has always come from a place of curiosity, respect, and cultural appreciation.

But I’ve also seen people do some of the same things I do and get called out for cultural appropriation.

So now I’m genuinely curious…Where is the line between cultural appreciation and cultural appropriation?

Just discovered that the official name of Mexico is ‘Estados Unidos Mexicanos’ – translated as either United States of Mexico or United Mexican States. 🇲🇽 Makes sense with its federation of thirty-one states and one federal district. 🗺️ Note to self: When abroad, I’ll be more specific than just ‘I’m from America’ or I’m from the “United States”since the name it’s shared by 35 countries and territories. 🌎 #philtheculture #mexico #LostInTranslation taken in Mexico by @philwaukee
