Thank you to everyone who joined Council President Kenyatta Johnson, Councilmember Isaiah Thomas, and me for our Quality of Life Tour at the 12th Police District.

It was a great opportunity to connect residents directly with City agencies and resources while discussing the issues that matter most to our neighborhoods—from public safety and housing assistance to tax relief programs, utilities, and services for seniors.

Thank you to everyone who came out, shared their concerns, and helped make this event a success. The conversation doesn’t stop here—we’ll continue working to improve quality of life in every corner of Philadelphia.

Today marked a historic moment as the Philadelphia Sexual Assault Resource Center (PSARC) officially transitioned to the Philadelphia Department of Public Health.

For more than a decade, PSARC has provided survivors with compassionate, trauma-informed care when they need it most. This transition strengthens the City’s commitment to supporting survivors and advancing a public health approach to preventing sexual violence.

Thank you to the advocates, healthcare professionals, survivors, and city leaders whose dedication helped make this day possible.

The storm system that just moved through our area caused trees and power lines to come down.

If you encounter a downed power line, stay far away and assume it's energized. Call 911 if there's an immediate danger.

If a tree falls during a storm and it’s blocking a road, or it has fallen on a house, car or other property, call 911.

A crew of arborists from Philadelphia Parks & Recreation is on call to respond to tree emergencies. They will come out to remove the hazard and any part of the tree that is an immediate risk to public safety. Other parts of the tree that don’t pose an immediate risk (such as tree trunks and stumps) will be removed later, so our crews can focus on other safety hazards around the city during the extreme weather event.

If a tree has fallen on electrical wires, call PECO’s emergency line at (800) 841-4141.

For non-emergency tree requests, such as maintenance for a tree that is not blocking a road or on a house, car, or property, or that has not fallen on electrical wires, submit a request with 311. by @phlcouncil
