Adventures at the bottom of the world. We’ve now been in Sydney for 3 months and so naturally it’s time for some reflections…

❄️ This southern hemisphere business is totally crazy. It’s now midwinter, Halloween is in the middle of spring, and I’m a summer/autumn baby (Feb 28…). All the signs in the stores are like “stay warm with soup this winter” and “cosy up with a book”, and classmates recently told us to look out for the Southern Lights — it’s wiiiiild.

🌱The lifestyle is insanely healthy. 1 person out of 55 on my MBA smokes, and I have friends here who work out 1-2 times a day.

⏰People go to sleep at 9pm (I thought they were messing with me), and get up at 5am. Cafes open at 5am and shut at 2pm. It’s goals, but it’s VERY different from Paris where our local cafe opens at 8.45am. Daily swims in the Pacific are unbeatable.

🦘The wildlife is incredible, and I’ll never get over seeing kangaroos and wallabies chilling in a field in the wild.

🦈 Despite everyone’s words of warning we have seen zero sharks and only two snakes — the scary animal danger in the city is very minimal.

🇦🇺The slang is the single best thing about moving here. Fckn oath, arvo, togs and good on ya are part of our daily vocab. taken in Bondi Beach by @phoebedodds_

So the Social Capital offsite got a little out of hand…

Although we were missing our star @thestudiograce we had a killer weekend strategising the next stage of @socialcapital.studio. We brought some friends along for fun & met some furry locals.

What’s going on in the Social Capital universe? We’re working on some amazing Q4 projects with startups & major orgs in the travel & tech space, and we’re excited to kick off 2026 with some exciting partnerships across Europe, the U.S. & APAC. We’re also happy to be working on some longer term projects through 2027.

The scene in APAC is amazing — lots of brands and orgs doing really cool things, playing big, and expanding their horizons for 2026 & beyond, and we’re lucky to be working with some of the best, as well as our old faves in Europe. Bring it on ✨🙏🏼📈 by @phoebedodds_

Well guys, I'm back. After an unintentional hiatus caused by 4 weeks of Covid, a rat infestation, black mould, finishing my MBA, and moving from New York City back to Europe, it's been a little busy.

Spring has sprung in NYC… which means blossom, extra sunlight, and hosting with @emmagracemoon.

We recently gathered 12 inspiring women in tech & design for an intimate dinner hosted by @socialcapital.studio and @praize.studio. Nothing better than good vibes & good food. From a floral artist and interior designer to people from TikTok and Snap, we had it covered. A few weeks of fun living in NYC… which still feels crazy to say🗽

The great things: SO much energy, people are so nice and willing to help out, you can pretty much message anyone on LinkedIn and they’ll have coffee with you, great food, you can get a cucumber bagel (my go to lol) at 3am, loads to do esp after Sydney (I love you Australia but I need to be able to grab a margarita after 9pm once in a while 🍸)

The not so great things: you can’t leave the house without spending $100… and we’re not allowed to work with our visas 😬

The highlight has been spending time w our NYC friends… and in a few short weeks we’ll be back in Europe 👀 WHERE has this year gone taken in New York, New York by @phoebedodds_

It’s been a busy month to say the least. From battling record-breaking cold weather, to a friend from home visiting, to settling in at NYU, to meeting some great creatives and startup people in the city, to a long weekend in Texas to visit cowboy country… I need a nap. 🤠

The highlight was my 30th birthday surprise from Storm, an e-card signed by over 60 of my good friends across the world — he managed to get 6 continents and messages from friends in countries as far flung as Australia, Japan, Peru and Ghana. 🥹 One to treasure !! taken in New York, New York by @phoebedodds_
