Down on the Kalkanen.

A poem created by my sister.

Down by the river
Where my ancestors used to be

Down by the river
Where we dance and sing

Down by the river
Where we go to meet

Down by the river
Where we can be free

My debut play Emu In The Sun, premiered with @ilbijerri_theatre at @melbtheatreco 🖤 It was the most special and magical experience. I worked with people that I love and call family. It was a dream.

Thank you to everyone who was part of it and to those of you who came and watched it.

Thank you to all that came and shared at the first one. It was special, and it is a special magical thing to witness storytelling, to be present with others, to share our hearts, our souls.

I am hosting my second First Nations & POC Poetry Night at narrm ngarrgu Library again. I hope to see you there.

Thank you my jij @murrupukart 🖤 by @phoebegrainer
