ARC review. I want to thank @brynne_weaver and the team at @zandoprojects for providing me with a digital ARC of Hunting Season.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
With every book Brynne writes I love her characters more and more, and Hunting Season is no different.

This was a perfect ending to the Seasons of Carnage Trilogy.
I genuinely went through ALL of the emotions reading this, there was hatred, laughter, heartache, yearning, pain, love so so so much love.
Brynne really does have a way of making you feel what her characters are feeling.

There wasn't as much spice in this final story- this was a second chance romance and a slowburn, but it was SO worth it.

The epilogue was just beautiful and it was a nice way to tie "Seasons of Carnage" and "The Ruinous Love" series up together.

There is a slight possibility that I miiiight have squealed when I saw the email about Hunting Season ARCs.
I am so ready to head back to Cape Carnage and face the emotional damage Brynne has in store for us, I just know the pain and tears will be worth it.

"Every choice is a risk. Each move is a sacrifice. And in Cape Carnage, love is both the weapon and the mortal wound."

• Second-chance romance
• Enemies-to-lovers
• Grumpy x grumpy
• Hurt/care
• Forced proximity
• Touch him/her and die
• Small town romance

"All the random puzzle pieces of symptoms I’d had all these years were coming together, and while it didn’t fix anything, it made me feel less out of my mind."
Currently reading "His Tesoro" by Emilia Rossi and honestly there are definitely some quotes that I can relate to SO much.

Currently reading "Its all in your head" by Sabina Nordqvist, I'm only 33% through this so far and as a fellow chronically ill girlie SO much of this resonates with me.

So I did a thing... and chopped like a fuck load of my hair off (I dont know how many inches but it was a lot- my hair was previously past the tail bone length) - I actually went for an undercut so the longer section was tied up.
Side note- I love how this was the suggested music for this post... iykyk by @phoenix_faie

I was first introduced to @brynne_weaver and the Shadow Realm back in May 2022, and very quickly fell in love with the characters and world she created- I was quite feral for Ashen and I think there may have been a few of the 🥵🥵🥵 emojis used 😂.
Obviously I purchased the original paperbacks to add to my shelf some time back, so when Brynne announced that she had reworked the series a little bit and was rereleasing the series with new covers I just HAD to get them, and boy are they stunning.

If you haven't read Brynnes back catalogue I HIGHLY recommend you do.

(Also I am still quite feral for Ashen 😂😂)

This has been popping up on my radar for a while now so when I received a waterstones gift card for my birthday in January I finally added it to my tbr... and now its time to actually read it.

"Painfully shy Callum Flannelly would rather dive into an open grave than take a stranger to dinner. But he can only inherit the family undertaking business under one condition: He must marry before his thirty-fith birthday. Texan animator Lark Thompson moved to Galway, Ireland, to restart her life and career, not be reminded of losing her husband by moving in next to a funeral home."
