A bunch of kids, think of it as a school photo (I thought of it because I found one of my own childhood) I want to do a picture book in this very “sketchy” and pencil -like monochrome style tbh.
I love colors and rendering but I also LOVE this. Can you tell?

And in this month, what better than to celebrate the differences between us, and support/respect all of them ✨I just hope every child in the world could have peace and a good life 🍉

I’ll go back to work

PEPITA, Imelda’s Right Hand
The new Disney Lorcana Set has been added to the app!

I had the chance to create this Pepita Card for the Hyperia City Set it was so much fun.Coco is for obvious reasons one of my favorite Disney-Pixar movies. And I love the characters are glimmers on this set and in this season 🌼

Ay! Con lo que me encanta Coco, fue muy bonito recibir esta carta para este set.

Pueden ver todas las cartas en la pagina de Lorcana y la app

Working with my AD Renee Chío such an honor and a wonderful experience.

Today is Lowrider For Sale’s book birthday! And now that is out, I really wanted to show you a piece of the whooooole process we have the team, and I made in the art side of this book I’m so proud of.

When I received Laura’s manuscript from Stefanie my super agent, I teared up a bit, since this story touched string about my personal life, and it was an instant yes!

I dived into the Lowrider culture, I seated hours watching lowriders designs, trying to understand the reason of their designs, and that every one of them has their own identity, it’s beautiful. I also watched a couple documentaries and competition videos, lowriders and their owners, The LA culture and the mix between the mexican background.Take your time researching whenever you have a project, it makes everything easier. When I was working on the final design for Pico Nights, I didn’t though of a literal night, it was about the summer and sunset colors from LA but also i was trying to add something from the flower art from Mexico, Chiapas so I made the design on top of Pico’s front side.
The colors? Are not just for the sake of being colorful, I really wanted the book to have this summer and warm feeling through it.
There’s a lot more to say about this book, but maybe i’ll leave it for another day, I really hope you give a chance to this book because aside of pouring our hearts and brains into this, you’re supporting more mexican and Latin-American stories and human creators. I hope to get to see them in real life someday.

Leaving this so maybe it’s useful for someone out there c: If there’s anything you’d like to know, pls leave a comment

Forever grateful with everyone involved in this project.
Happy Book Birthday!

I had this, in the deep side of my files, but I think is a good time to show it, Since today’s eclipse. Based on a dream I had a long time ago where lots of rows of beings passed through my path, each row had a different kind of being but everyone at the row was the same exact. I can’t remember how they looked in the dream but I was thinking about shrimps when I painted this. I love eerie and spooky stuff so I decided to draw that feeling.

He tenido sueños bien raros e interesantes, aunque últimamente no 🤔 y no creo dibujar los recurrentes que he tenido desde chica.
