I had some people ask if I/we were leaving for the storm and if I had bags packed. Well this week's rotation I'm a single/solo Dude, so the boys are with their mom's, so it would have just been me and the pups.

In regards to the question asked if I had my bags packed and ready to go. When I told them "I always have bags packed and ready to go." They looked at me funny. But this is something I carried away from Hurricane Michael, and I'll always have bags staged.

This is my two day civil bug bag. This isn't my end of the world bag. This bag has enough gear to get me through 2-3 days away from home. Strictly for me. Not a female. Not my kids. Not my dogs. BUT FOR ME.

It has:
-shirts
-pants
-socks
-underwear
-gun belt
-extra appendix holster
-extra pair of shoes
-basic hygiene bag (basic)
-one portable phone battery
-wall charging block and cord
-2k lumen flashlight
-Combat and Utility Blade (one each)
-One 4 pack of double AA and triple AAA batteries

You cant see it, but this bag is packed! And it has a bit more room if I needed to cram more stuff in.

I have one bag for each of my boys and I. Then I have our big legal bug bag that has enough information to restart a life if we lost everything.

I also ave a pelican trunk that is pre-staged with legal documents, but were I can also put our high end collectibles and their insurance documents and certificates. I also have a slash proof money bag made of Kevlar that stores emergency money for when cash becomes king in dire times. Hurricane Michael made me realize a lot of people live paycheck to paycheck and when it was time to evacuate, some people couldn't afford too. So I told myself a set amount of cash, load it in the bag and forget about it, its emergency funds.

Soft containers (bags) are easier to orient in small spaces like vehicles. Where the pelican trunk is secured in the bed of the truck. Or the roof rack of a car and we are good to go. I would hate to try and orient a pelican carry on case in a small vehicle in emergency purposes. The soft cases/bags you can shape accordingly. by @phonixmonky

The sides will be vinyl fence, that's why those are 4" units with 8H fixed nozzles Whereas the back fence line will be an aluminum grated fence with a bit more permeable grass space. Where the 6" unit with 15H fixed nozzles can over water into the community easement behind the property. by @phonixmonky

That once a month truck clean up and reorganization process. That means we charge everything in the power box in the backseat.

That Harbor Freight gear keeps me moving and working day by day. Really liking their in-house tool like from Bauer.

This Viking jump box has really come in handy for helping people out in a pinch. Specifically today I had to use it to help a gentleman with a diesel truck at the gas station. We let it sit and take the battery to 95%. Then he turned it over and it sucked the battery to 80% flat for a cold crank.

You can catch them on sale quite frequently. I got mine for 120-150$ I believe. It also has safety features for those dire situations by @phonixmonky
