From the Photographer’s Night on Sunday at The Aquarium Of The Pacific in collaboration with Tuttle Cameras in Long Beach CA

A special night where photographers get to bring their photo gear including tripods, light stands and lighting to capture great photos without people jumping in your shots. I also had my friend and model Miriam accompany me who modeled with some amazing outfits that were ideal for the night

Blessed and thankful for being published once again in the October issue of Summerana magazine.

Thank you Summerana for selecting my work to be published in your October issue of your magazine! Not only am I one of the featured photographers for this month’s magazine but was given the ARTIST SPOTLIGHT FEATURE.

I can’t take full credit for the feature without acknowledging the talent of my friend and model Miriam who is the featured photos and has over time provided many amazing photos for my portfolio and hers that includes other publications and award winning photos in competitions at the LA County and Orange County Fairs.

Í attended Photographer’s Night at the Aquarium Of The Pacific in Long Beach CA for the second year in a row. Thanks also to Tuttle Cameras in Long Beach for putting on this event as well as the sponsors/vendors in attendance

This is the only night where photographers can bring photo gear like tripods, lightstands and lighting and capture great photos of the sea creatures and reptiles. This year I was accompanied by my friend and model Miriam to take photos with the exhibits, like always she did amazing with her outfits that fit the theme of sea goddess. We had a great time shooting together once again and in an amazing place like the aquarium. In the end we met and spoke with the person from the aquarium in charge of this event (so sorry didn’t get her name🫣)and she praised the outfits Miriam wore as she saw us throughout the night and especially loved the teal color dress she wore last. She also told us the date for next year’s event and God willing we told her we shall return😊👍🏼

Thank you Miriam for your time and talent once again, to the Aquarium Of The Pacific and to Tuttle Cameras for a great evening of fun and photography!

It is an honor and a privilege and want to thank curator Ginette for accepting my photography work as part of this year’s 2026 Dia De Muertos exhibition at El Tranquilo Gallery at Olvera Street in Los Angeles

As a native Angelino, born in East Los Angeles, the significance of Olvera Street, being the birthplace of Los Angeles, is near and dear to me, growing up we would often visit and spend family time there on Sundays going to mass across the street at La Iglesia De Nuestra Señora La Reina De Los Ángeles and walk afterwards throughout Olvera Street eating churros

I will forever embrace my roots, my city, and the love of the culture that is very present and felt at Olvera Street. One such cultural tradition is the celebration of Dia De Muertos, participating in this exhibition brings full circle everything about me, the love for my city, my roots and culture and this beautiful tradition we have that celebrates our dearly departed with a personal meaning. My accepted portrait is with my good friend, model and makeup artist Crystal, we connected to bring this vision to life depicting the traditional skull or calaca with the devotion to the Sacred Heart Of Jesus that is present in the Catholic faith and family homes.

I am also honored to have my photo selected as the official artwork for the promotional flyer for this gallery, thank you once again Ginette!!

The exhibition will run from October 10 - November 15, Fridays - Sundays from 11am-3pm, come check out this gallery of the Mexican tradition that honors our loved ones who have departed

I was at Olvera Street yesterday and I’ll soon disclose why I was there, it’s been a long time since I’ve been and it’s sad to see how inactive it is with the closure of vendors and restaurants. A place that use to thrive especially on weekends was lacking life, a place that is the birthplace of Los Angeles seems as if the city doesn’t care about it especially with it being a historical place with the Avila Adobe, the oldest standing residence built in 1818

Upon parking and headed towards the crosswalk to Olvera Street I see this, a stand where you can buy the fermented drink pulque that I’m sure has alcohol as well as getting a “spiritual limpia” or cleansing. I find it disrespectful where the placement of this stand is which is literally steps away from the church that is out of frame and to my right. Look, you can believe what you want I don’t care to each their own but there should be a level of respect knowing that the church doesn’t accept this and yet deciding to set this up almost at their doorstep is just wrong. I sure do hope Olvera street can be restored to its glory days but what I saw is the possibility of Los Angeles losing a historical and important place, do better LA and mayor Bass

Did anyone else see that faint glimmer in the sky tonight? If you did that is our planet Saturn, the 6th planet from the sun with a distance of 1.2 billion miles from earth🌍😱

That is mind blowing to know the distance and with the naked eye it looks like an ordinary shining star. To be able to capture a photo with only my 600mm lens an heavy crop on the photo file I was able to come up with this photo, it’s no Hubble telescope photo but from where I was standing on planet earth I will take it! God and the universe gave us a treat tonight….thank you!

Because in October we support breast cancer awareness month, acknowledging the fighters, the survivors and those who lost their fight. I personally worked with a model and met her mother who shortly after lost her battle with cancer
