Took the new Nikon Z8 out for a spin in Dinokeng Nature reserve and what a pleasant surprise. This camera is everything the Nikon shooters have been waiting for and more.

TIGERS IN AFRICA!!!
There has been so much controversy around tigers on the loose in South Africa that we had a sit down with Daniella about the only wild tiger population outside of Asia, in Tiger Canyon.

“You cant contour your way through life!”
Matt Bouch shared these wise words when we were hiking ontop of the Deakensberg moaning about the ups and downs at 3100+ meters above sea level.

It was a perfect quote to emphasize the ultimate highs and ultimate lows of 2022.

This year has been brutal with traumatic and sad passing of close family, having to say goodbye to a very loved pet and dealing with a very rough and close to home cancer diagnoses and treatment.

Along with these lows have been ultimate highs, new position at work, my 9 year olds achievements in chess, buying a camping trailer to create new memories with my family, an adventure of note in Lesotho for Roof of Africa, a trip in Pilansberg looking for my elusive leopard shot and then this… my favorite shot of the year. Shot on an absolute pleasure of a trip on the Drakensberg with incredible friends with @northpeakphototours

Heres to a better trips and experiences and growth in 2023.
