Great Find from Five Below - A cool little space pod! It's Room2Room Astro Nightlight Spaceship Diffuser. Scroll through to see more. Black Series and TVC Stormtroopers shown for scale. I grabbed a few to paint up and customize. Has a light inside but it's weak, if I light it up I'll put in new lights. Could possibly be hollowed out to allow a figure to fit inside, I'll play with that next. Reminds me of the Z001 Landspeeder from Mos Eisley.

R3-TR0 is finished for now! Went with gunmetal metallic inspired by Robbie the Robot and other retro scifi robots. Batman Robot body with head from a Half Pint Heroes Robbie. Painted up at our local @kitbashclub with my pals @stc_forge @mos_eisley_photography and @scifidioramaguy .

Unholy Scifi Mashups, Batman!

I posted this as a story this week and several people reached out for the info, so I thought it might make a worthwhile post. I've had the body for a bit, I know I want to use it somehow, it's a Batman 66 Robot Batman from McFarlane. And then this week I found a Pint Size Heroes Robbie the Robot and noticed the head was a perfect fit, so I boiled and popped them both and tried them out. Still debating if I should paint it or leave it like this, I'm considering a metallic black more like Robbie's. The Stormtrooper is Black Series for scale.

Let me know, What you think I should do with him next?

Final diorama of the sand ruins. Black Series Pyke for scale. Learned a few things I'd do differently next time but overall I'm happy with the results. Will be using this in the background of future figure photos.

Since I wanted this diorama to work better as a background behind characters in brown and other earth tones I decided to lighten it up. Closer to Tatooine or a general desert environment. I brushed on a light tan then dialed it down with a spray mix of matte brown, khaki and isopropyl alcohol to get the grainy splatter effect.

New diorama incoming...

Mysterious ruins on a desert world. Made from a Green Lantern Imaginext playset, some pink foam and random sand, paper mache, glue, etc. Still in progress, I'll post more complete photos soon.

New Droid! 1-3Y3 is a data analysis and strategy consultant droid who can be a bit full of himself at times. Black series scale, used a 4-Lom body with a head that came with a recent Cosmic Legions figure, then repainted it all in brown brassy tones.

I assembled and painted this droid at a recent @kitbashclub meetup with my pals @mos_eisley_photography @scifidioramaguy @stc_forge @theoparmasancheese and @sithlycan97

Something has survived...

Humbled and excited to be featured in the upcoming Furby Art Show by @toydejour and @toysontap ! Opening this weekend in Chicago!

Abe sent me a classic Happy Meal Toy Furby to transform into an art piece. I chose to apply my recent apocalyptic robot stylings and 3d modeled everything from the Furby down then bash and detail it together into this mecha monstrosity. This Furby has definitely seen some things and suvived. Could also be seen as what nostalgia can become if left unchecked. I may even make more like this someday if there's interest, let me know!
