This summer, coaches Amanda Santos, Anthony Cosby, and Danielle Roumbos attended the Play Like a Champion Today Leadership Conference at the University of Notre Dame. Through meaningful conversations, inspiring speakers, and connections with coaches and organizations nationwide, including Homeboy Industries, our coaches gained valuable leadership insights about how we can positively impact young athletes while creating cultures where individuals feel connected, supported, and empowered. Our coaches shared their experiences with fellow Providence coaches at the summer coaches' retreat. This opportunity was made possible through Providence's Leadership Institute, an initiative that will formally launch this fall as part of our 2030 Strategic Plan.•••#GoPioneers #PioneersTogether #PlayLikeAChampionToday by @phsburbank

For the past three summers, we have been partnering with All-American High School Film Festival to produce a highly interactive and intensive film camp for high school students that are passionate about filmmaking. This year we welcomed 32 filmmakers from across California, Maryland, and Texas to campus. Filmmakers were split into groups and partnered with Providence Cinema Arts alumni to begin the pre-production process. The first two days of camp focused on storytelling, screen writing, and story boarding. By sharing ideas and building on each other's strengths, our filmmakers laid the foundation for their short films that they then shot and edited in the same week. They also got hands-on tech demos of all of the gear they used on set along with a special camera rig demo by Tilta. Our favorite type of pizza party 🍕🌞 Last week we welcomed new parents & guardians to campus for a pizza party with our Head of School, Scott McLarty, and to meet our PGA President, Sevanna Moradi. It was an evening full of great conversations, fellowship, and Scott's delicious homemade pizza.
