During National Arts in Education Week, experiences like last night's Choir Fiesta are especially meaningful: Four high school choirs of 120 voices joined to launch this year's Hispanic Music Festival!

Thanks to the students, directors, and staff of Carl Junction, Girard, Parsons, and Pittsburg High School for sharing your talents!

The Hispanic Music Festival continues through Oct. 18; we'll host another festival concert on our main stage on Oct. 1. Details: pittstate.edu/hispanicmusicfestival

Hey band parents!

Dionne Blakemore, owner of Vivid Focus Photography, has sent out emails to band parents with a link to order pictures of your child and/or group photos that she took during band camp.

Just like last year, half of the picture sales profits Band Boosters. Last year $350 was raised for the Band!

When you order your prints, tax & shipping will be added. The shipping is around $6 for most orders, a bit more for larger items. Your packages ship directly to you, skipping the trip home in a backpack.

Thank you for supporting the band! by @phsperforms

PHS has a new Drill Down winner this year, Jayden Baker! Jayden was awarded the golden shoe!

Drill Down is a PHS Marching band tradition, starting with the full band, dwindling it down until there is just one band member left. The winner earns the Drill Down Golden Shoe Award. Congrats, Jayden! by @phsperforms
