SURPRISE! We’ve just released a new single. PLEASURE ISLAND is a twisted ode to the UK’s decline with an apt bit of cover art (Paul’s favourite PHWOAR photo yet!) to match. What’s your favourite weird thing about the UK?

This will be our final release in 2025, so please help us make the most of it by liking, commenting, sharing and playlisting.

Thanks so much to @adrianraehall as ever for his expert mixing and mastering and general guidance! Listen link in bio x by @phwoarband

We're stoked to announce we have @phwoarband joining us next Thursday. A heavy-hitting "fizzy" alt-rock two piece bursting with catchy hooks and the kind of lyricism that'll burrow in and pop out when you're putting the bins out. 🎟️ Ticket link in bio! by @phwoarband

BEST LIVE SHOT OF YEAR 2! Big congratulations to @connormadehell for this awesome capture of @phwoarband live and loud for their headline set @deadwaxdigbeth !! 🤘🔥

This gig for me had it all. An incredible headline set, a great crowd and atmosphere, great supports with @luckynoyou & @infodump_band and this shot captures so much of that!

You can see incredible talent pretty much every night in venues around Birmingham. Packed gigs like this are much less frequent. Massive congrats to Paul & Hels for putting this one together. Their first ever headline set - and one I'll remember for some time!

Big thanks to @connormadehell for so many incredible gig shots throughout year 2 of Rock of Ages. Book him now! Such a legend 😎📸

PHWOAR - Live and Loud @rocknrollbrewhouse - headlining the very first Rock of Ages Sunday Showcase! Massive thank you to the legend with the lends @connormadehell for these awesome shots! 🤘🔥

I really couldn't have asked for a better band to have headlined - They brought their trademark energy, enthusiasm and great sound to the Brewhouse, with a set full of alt-rock anthems performed in true headline style. Singer and Guitarist Paul was master of the stage and beyond, venturing out into the crowd on numerous occasions while Hel's made sure everything stayed in time, before getting her own chance to shine when venturing out from behind the kit on to the mic for their live version of Breakaway - I'd call that one my favourite, but with so many awesome tracks it's genuinely tough to pick a best. So Much Better was another standout, closing their set and the gig with something people there will be sure to remember!

Make sure you give @phwoarband a follow to find out about upcoming releases and future live dates!

Was an awesome first gig - make sure you join us for our next showcase, happening Sunday 29th March with doors from 3pm! So far confirmed with have an acoustic performance from local multi-platform artist @laokuuuu - stay tuned for further lineup announcements!
