One of my closest friends, fellow music obsessive and one of those people with whom a simple conversation can somehow turn into a three-hour discussion about records, scenes, sounds, machines and everything surrounding them.

We’ve shared music, nights, ideas and a good amount of beautiful chaos.

Some friendships are built through time.

Halloween nights in Torreón.
A dark ritual beneath the pentagram.
Bodies moving, cold sweat, red lights, and the kind of darkness that only exists when the music takes over.

I miss that strange electricity in the room
when dancing felt less like dancing and more like an invocation.

#Reynosa rifó, me la pasé increíble. Todos bien buena onda, pasándosela chilo, bailando, echando chela de Bravo (recomiendo) y cotorreando. Shoutout a @soyanggii y a su novio por las atenciones, el mini tour y por tratar de convencerme de comer, también por ofrecerse a llevarme a comer espadas y papa asada. Espero volver pronto, porque justo ahorita tengo mucha hambre y me imagino la papa así bien sabrosa, calientita, con carnita asada juesuperramadre que sabroso.

Somos The Whore Collective.

Nacimos durante la primera década de los 2000, cuando el electroclash gobernaba la noche, el fidget y el electro house golpeaban sin pedir permiso, el indie dance apenas estaba aprendiendo a caminar y el nu-disco ya se había robado la bola disco. Había French house, sonidos del futuro, lentes oscuros en interiores y decisiones estéticas muy difíciles de justificar.

Monsieur Giron. Visual Noir. Physick Noise.

Tres disciplinas. Tres obsesiones. Un encuentro completamente inesperado y absolutamente sospechoso.

Un colectivo multidisciplinario con hambre de comernos el mundo o, por lo menos, de desvelarlo. Elegimos siempre el camino musicalmente más arriesgado: crear una propuesta propia, provocar antes que complacer y nunca comprometer nuestra filosofía.

Agresivos. Juguetones. Divertidos. Anarquistas. Retadores.
Y, como demuestra esta fotografía, peligrosamente bien vestidos.

No queríamos seguir una escena.
Queríamos alterarla, desordenarla y salir antes de que llegara la policía.

Esta foto no es solamente un gran recuerdo. Es evidencia de una época en la que creíamos que todo era posible… y, durante algunas noches, realmente lo fue.
