2025 Nogi Adult Black Belt bronze, happy with my fights and the experience. All data for worlds. I've loved my time here and will write more once I'm home and can rest and eat whatever I want!

European Nogi Champion @ibjjf 2023. Often, our words can't describe the full capacity of our feelings, and this result is one of those times for me. One thing that is clear to me is the incredible gratitude I feel.

The dual nature of all things in life creates space in between, which can leave room for tremendous growth. If you can move away from labeling all experiences and just be, you can see things as they are.

In my jiu jitsu, it has been a recurring theme that my technical shortcomings become my main obsession and turn into my strength. In addition to observing this phenomenon in my technical game, I can now see the same outcome in my mental game.

Admittedly, my belief in this work came after the choice to fully commit myself to it. I could logically understand that mental training was hugely valuable and impactful, but on an emotional level, I didn't believe it would change anything. But trust goes hand in hand with uncertainty. If we are certain of anything, trust is no longer necessary. My choice to continue into the unknown has and continues to make the most meaningful changes in me.

I encourage everyone not to hide from the unsettling things that raise fear and uncertainty in you. On the other face of those feelings are the inverse, but only once you have exposed yourself fully to the unknown, which holds all of the lessons you cannot conceptualize yet.

To @fergalbjj for encouraging me and pushing me to go down the path of investing in my mental growth and @kaizen_mentality for excelling this growth in me. Everyone @bjjlimerick you invest your trust and time in me and allow me to reach my potential, and I hope I inspire all of you to do the same.

Thank you as well to @itallovilardo
for keeping me strong, and my sponsor @tatamifightwear for supporting me.

Silver Black Belt, Adult, Light Feather at IBJJF Nogi Pans 2023, after three fights.

Thank you, everyone @bjjlimerick for their constant support of my never-ending ask to train more.

A special thanks as well for making me feel like a champion physically and mentally to @kaizen_mentality @drcapodaglio and @itallovilardo who are all incredible in their respective fields.

My goal before getting my black belt was to win one match in the first year, and now I'm not even finished with my first year, and silver at a major doesn't feel like enough.

After hard setbacks, it can be hard for me to not replay the narrative in my head that I'm just a statistic from the projects, who was lucky to get anywhere beyond social housing. But looking at my goals now, I have to appreciate the reality of how far I've come and that my high expectations are proof of that.

When you come from nothing, it makes anything you get so much more meaningful. So, hearing from multiple people, both watching online and in person, that they could hear so much love for me from the crowd meant the world. We'll adjust and be back.

Thank you also to @tatamifightwear for being amazing sponsors.
