Half elf and forest guardian Linden was raised by his mother in the woods at the far end of the kingdom where the land meets the sea. Growing up she told him all the stories about the magical beings that inhabit their world: elves like her, pixies and dragons and shapeshifters.
Still nothing could have prepared him for the day he met Mirielle. Wandering in between the trees of his home he came across a meadow full of light blue flowers. Between them, gleaming red in the sunshine was a sleeping fox. It must have sensed his presence because as he was standing there admiring it it suddenly opened its eyes and, startled, transformed into a girl. Mirielle fled immediately but Linden couldn’t forget her. She was the most beautiful girl he‘s ever laid eyes upon. So he waited patiently at the meadow for days, weeks, months… until she showed up again. After a while she became more trusting of him and as fate had decided long before their first meeting a love started blossoming ✨
