Because of very little progress with this piece due to lack of proper practice I’m replying the part I know and just adding some fancy lights 😁 Thanks to #philipshue

Tonight I needed bit of a change so I played thru most of the stuff I can play from memory and this is of course the one I know best but the one I still have a hard time to master. Some parts here are still ti difficult for me and when I get to them I stress out a bit instead of just slowing down which i should. Anyway here is my take tonight. Just played it once because didn’t want to restart and so a second take because of the very sloppy scale at the ending. 🥲

Gymnopédie no 1 by Eric Satie

I still want to learn the complete piece and I almost did long time ago but for some reason I stoped when the big chords came… maybe it’s time now to just get past that and finish page two. 😁

Several mistakes were as made but a full recording of the piece. Definitely was able to play the tricky part way better on earlier attempts but made other mistakes after so this was probably the best one… so posting it to capture the progress 😊

The state of this as of now is not great… the fast tricky spot messes with my head and I start making mistakes. So I need to practice that part a lot more and also the first and second to last part way more. Still having fun recording my efforts again 😄

These ending chords never gets old… the most beautiful chord progression ever made! 🫠

Last few days of practice have been good for me.

Practicing the trickiest part of this piece… I have some difficulty’s with the fast jump and the big spread of the left hand but I think this will get much better if I just continue to practice this part for some time. Still love this prelude 😊

Just a little bit at a time … I need so much practice now to catch up with some time away from regular piano practice. But feels good to be back 😊

Also live in a house now without neighbours so can play without using the silent piano.. unfortunately it’s a bit out of tune now and my piano tuner is on vacation so this will have to do… might record my next session using the silent piano feature 😇

Let’s try this one to get going with some regular practice. I have played it before but never mastered it… well I did managed the fast places a couple of times but was never comfortable with them. This is also one of the pieces where I feel semi-ok with sightreading it.

It was a long time since my last post here… been difficult trying to find time to play and also motivation because of reasons. Now I’m trying to just learn something that is not so difficult and this song is perfect for that. Easy chords with left hand and easy melody and also nice to listen to.
