I am a classical pianist who loves to create lofi beats

Last night I combined them both!

Gangsta’s Paradise was one of my favorite songs on the playlist I used to learn English

It worked. The only side effect was a vocabulary full of 90s hip hop slang ☕️

☕️ some piano teachers and parents still believe that students should learn only on acoustic pianos and that acoustic pianos always sound better

I’ve always preferred a good digital piano over an average acoustic. I never liked loud, poorly maintained pianos that make you feel like you have to tiptoe around the keys just to make them sound okay

a quality digital piano with 88 weighted keys and touch sensitivity can absolutely help a student develop solid technique while making practice enjoyable

☕️In my experience, students are much more motivated to play when they love the sound of their instrument

What can be problematic are cheap keyboards with unweighted keys as they don’t properly develop technique or prepare students for playing on an acoustic piano later on

☕️ topping off our wedding with a private volcano hike was one of the best decisions we made

I booked a beautiful [refundable] hotel stay with a private yard and jacuzzi in it… but at the last minute, we weren’t excited about it anymore (after having our friends and family together - it felt like meh)

Instead, we organized a private volcano hike

they drove us up in a 4x4 vehicle, turning what would normally be an 8 hr hike into a ~ 2 hr climb to the top

Most people visit during sunrise, so going at sunset meant we experienced the volcano almost completely by ourselves [except for a little friend who decided to join us along the way]

Climbing back down in the dark, being so high above everything, looking at the stars and the moon - it felt like a dream!
