Pickle Dance are delighted to introduce ‘No Order’, the debut EP from Berlin-based producer duo cowtome & Ommi Rafke, seamlessly blending glitched-out vocals, fluttering breakbeats and evolving low-end textures.

The pair have been quietly building momentum within the Berlin grassroots scene. cowtome has been delivering their signature blend of garage, breaks and grime across the underground, turning heads at Sӓgewerk and Sprocki Festival and gathering a cult following on their THF Radio residency. Ommi Rafke’s technical prowess in genre-spanning production is instantly obvious in his catalogue of self-releases, such as the percussive headspinner ‘Baal Krane’. Now, the two have co-opted their tastes to produce this irresistibly subby two-tracker.

cowtome & Ommi Rafke’s sound revolves around sampling experimentation, and ‘No Order’ is a clear sign of what’s to come from the duo. The titular track opens to growling bassline pressure, with ghostly voices entwining hectic crescendos and stripped-back half-time moments. With weighty bass at the forefront, woven with a mixture of jungle and techno, it’ll bring adrenaline to the peak hours of any party.

On the other side, ‘Mutter Motte’ navigates the expanse of cowtome & Ommi Rafke’s experimental style. The backbone of this living entity is the gurgling, shapeshifting bassline, engineered for eerie club mayhem. Glitchy, shuffling percussion and turbulent, syncopated rhythms seem to assemble and shatter in an instant. Embrace the unexpected, and delve into the sonic world of cowtome & Ommi Rafke.

Releases 10th July on Bandcamp and SoundCloud. Preorder dropping soon.

TOMORROW - we return to our regularly scheduled breakfast slot and 2gay2tek joins us in the studio!

The Goose first met @emirrrly down at Blue Velvet club on the @soundsource.systems set-up at @blue_velvet_berlin on the outskirts of the city.

After a set which covered all bases from deep dark dubstep to higher and higher bpms covering jungle and even a bit of donk (and a chat afterwards on their love of all things sound), we knew we had to get her on the show !

Catch you all at 9am CET sharp ;)

We return on Saturday morning with a special b3b with co-label head the Goose himself joined by the legends @_smugsie_ & Sandra the Seal.

Where to begin with introducing fellow THF Radio resident Smugsie? Whether she's rigging the soundsystem at Horst festival, selecting records down at Unkompress Listening Bar or curating neurodivergence focused parties at Club Renate - you always know what she does will have bags of taste - a true member of the Berlin bass community and we can't wait to have her on.

Sandra the Seal joins us in the booth, Sandra is one phocid who has etched themselves into Berlin folklore. Always spinning on the turntable, catching IDs out in the wild - she's one of those sealectors where you never quite know what's gonna come next.
