Hello World!

The 2nd Rooftop Noise release of 2026 comes from Columbus, Ohio. Hyped to announce the SPUN EP by Pickle Jef. Fell in love with both of these songs as soon as I heard the demos. A rewarding process seeing them take their final shape.

The title track SPUN is a unique almost indie sounding record that fits in so many settings. It’s energetic yet almost melancholy in the best way. I believe it will be in commercials/tv shows one day.

If SPUN is the day, then the 2nd track BETTER is the night, a collab with fellow Columbus DJ and producer Monarch (US) this track is a party starter whether in the club or at home. With its addicting vocals and playful drums this one forces you to move.

Big shout outs to Pickle Jef for delivering 2 incredibly fun tracks just in time for the summer. Hope yall enjoy. DJs please hit us up for downloads for your sets.

House night for @groundfloorcbus, live from Howdy’s Deli.

Curated by @mizzle_thedraper, it was a rainy, vibe-filled night that also featured @carpe_denim, @picklejef, and @mend_ng.

Thanks to everyone who performed, came out, and watched online. Thanks to Howdy’s for hosting us as always.

If you want details on how to get involved, please follow @groundfloorcbus.

For the third interview in the series, @nates_life.png from @vomu.io sits down with @picklejef

Like so many in electronic music, @picklejef credits Sonny Moore (Skrillex) with shaping his early taste and sparking his obsession with the genre. He’s especially drawn to Skrillex’s unmatched ability to command a crowd’s full attention; a skill he’s constantly sharpening in his own sets. Don’t miss Dawnset Sessions featuring @__chasewilson at @ravencbus

The supporting acts for @lemtom.wav killed it on Friday.

@half.hour_ kicked things off with a high energy set. @picklejef and @itsmonsoons delivered a b2b set that was a marvelous display of creativity and improv. And then @michaelgthing set the stage for the legend himself.

Also, props and love to @srob1993 and @rooftop_noise for keeping Columbus in mind and putting together such a great show. It was also nice to get some variety in the scene. We don’t see UK garage acts / nights often.

Venue info: @mj.venue with sound help from @universallynull

(also fyi, I’ll send an album with all the pics and videos I took to all the performers later today)
