Psychotic State

Derek Young wrote, directed, edited, and starred in this movie, then filled it with genre royalty: Lloyd Kaufman, Jake the Snake Roberts, PJ Soles, Linnea Quigley, David Naughton. Shot on tape on purpose, it turns a story about bullying into a gonzo revenge tale built to have audiences arguing after the credits roll.

A family mystery led me to uncover a forgotten Texas cold case. 🔎

For years, my family only knew that a relative had moved to Texas… and that her husband had been killed. That unanswered question led me down a path of research, where I uncovered the tragic story of Daniel Vilano Perales, a 1970s San Antonio murder case that still raises questions today.

Using historical records, original research, official documents, and previously unseen photographs, I created Cold Blood: Cold Case, a documentary exploring what happened, the people involved, and a case that deserves to be remembered.

P.O.V

A cop is dead, a young man is running, and every witness remembers that night differently. Filmmaker VaShawn Dixon built this series around a simple question: whose truth do you believe? Three episodes, three angles, one event.

Oren's Way

Princess Oren goes looking for a mythical fox to save her kingdom from eternal sorrow, but in Keika Lee's animated fairy tale, the voice cast communicates mostly through grunts and sighs, and the real quest turns out to be internal.

A girl on the run from Blackwell, the program that took her name and gave her a letter instead. Directed by Charlie Perez, this sci-fi thriller trades futuristic cityscapes for real alleys and parking lots in Visalia, California. Macie Silveira sings the closing song.
