POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Artificial Ascendency is finally out in the world. This project has lived in my head as a story, a warning, and a question long before it became music. Watching it take shape, piece by piece, has been one of the most meaningful creative experiences of my life.

In a year where AI is taking its first chart positions and even finding its way onto BBC Introducing as “artist of the week,” this record feels more timely than I ever expected. It is my way of trying to hold a mirror to the moment, to trace the line between human expression and machine perfection, and to explore what happens when that line begins to blur.

I was lucky to build this with people whose craft elevated every chapter. @malyan brought an intensity and precision that turned the foundations of this record into something alive. @joshmlv added weight, character, and soul in a way only he can. Their contributions shaped the sound as much as the story did.

Thank you to everyone who has followed this project, encouraged it, or simply cared enough to listen. I poured everything I had into this. I hope it speaks to you in the way it spoke to me while I was creating it.

It is with enormous pleasure that I can finally talk about the project I’ve been working on in secret for the past two years.

@cultofthelambofficial from @massivemonsters is one of the coolest new indie video games around, with over 4.5M copies sold globally. When I was given the opportunity to create metal reimaginings of @riverboybeats’ OST I leapt at it. But I couldn’t have imagined the list of legends I’d end up producing.

I arranged this six song EP taking stems from the OST as a starting point. It’s cowritten with @scottielepage @claygober @jjavierreyess @joshmlv @seanwss and @malyan with vocals provided by @howard_jones_music and @matthewkheafy. The whole record was produced, mixed and mastered in my recording studio @mammothsoundstudio.

If I achieve nothing else in my musical career, I can feel eternally satisfied that I have been so integral to a project of such magnitude. Massive thanks goes to @laced_audio and @devolverdigital for their support and vision.

The lead single CULT is out now on all DSPs. There’s a whole load of content coming on YouTube and other places too so stay tuned. The full EP ‘Cult of the Lamb: Hymns of the Unholy’ comes out on 28th October. I can’t wait for you to hear it!

🇪🇸 Pick Up Goliath - “La Sombra”

⬛ Banda: Pick Up Goliath
⬛ Música: La Sombra
⬛ País: Espanha
⬛ Gênero: Modern Metal / Post-Metal
⬛ Para fãs de: The Ocean, Sleep Token, Cult Of Luna

Soft clipping vs. brick wall limiting. One gives us control; the other just breaks the wall. Know the difference. #musicproducertips #musicproductiontips #audioengineering #masteringaudio #mixingmastering by @pickupgoliath

Lookahead in audio mixing? It adds latency, but gives you way smoother, more controlled processing. Trade-offs! #musicproducertips #musicproductiontips #audiomixing #audioengineering #musicproduction by @pickupgoliath
