Now to our headline act……

REESE has quickly established himself as one of the exciting names coming through the UK bassline and garage scene. Known for high-energy sets and a sound built around bass-heavy UKG, bassline and club music, he’s been making serious noise both in the UK and beyond.

His 2025 version of Rihanna’s ‘Where Have You Been’ was a huge breakthrough, reaching #1 on the Shazam Discovery UK Chart and picking up support from KISS Dance, Capital Dance, Spotify and some of the biggest names in dance music, including Tiësto, Gorgon City, David Guetta and TS7.

With releases across labels including CruCast, Viper and Futurism, as well as signing with 3 Beat / Universal, REESE has also played some serious venues including Printworks, XOYO, Mint Warehouse Leeds and Tank Sheffield. by @picnrix

Introducing our first DJ to headline next week’s Friday show. Man like Lug. You should probably already know who this guy is, but if you’ve had your head in the sand here goes:

Lug is a Bradford based speed garage DJ and producer making serious waves across the UK and beyond. With a high energy sound rooted in speed garage, UKG and house, he’s quickly built a reputation for bringing the same energy to the dancefloor as he does to his productions.

Recent highlights include supporting Benwal in Amsterdam, sharing the stage with Soul Mass Transit System and Prozak at Beat-Herder Festival 2026, as well as multiple sold out shows across Liverpool and further afield.

His music has picked up global support from the likes of Josh Baker, MK, Benwal, Riria, Osmosis Jones and many more, while his releases have now racked up over 4 million streams worldwide.

With plenty more in the pipeline, Lug is one to keep an eye on as the new wave of UK speed garage continues to grow. by @picnrix

🚨 PICNRIX PRESENTS 🚨

We’re absolutely buzzing to announce our first ever Friday at Distrikt 🖤🔥 When we started Pic n Rix, it would’ve been one of our wildest dreams to put on a weekend do at our favourite club in the world… honestly, I don’t know how I’m going to explain to my mum that I’ve finally made it in life 😂❤️

@reesemusicofficial 🏆 — put it this way… your favourite selector’s selector. If you look at the calibre of DJs downloading the tunes he’s producing, that says it all. He’s going to be shelling them all night long 🔥🔊

Then we’ve got @lugbeats 🚀 — with his highly anticipated Spaceship with J Depz waiting to be released and Better Me, which was recently used in a fight scene in one of 50 Cent’s TV series. High-octane doesn’t even cover it 💥

And the rest of the lineup is absolutely STACKED — @carlijayne_ , Sash Wah, @sethhloveday , @hgambl3 , @willrix1908, @cdnc.wav and @amylawrenson_ 🫡🔥

From throwing wild nights with the squad back in the day to now putting on our own Friday at Distrikt… this one genuinely means a lot ❤️

We challenge anyone to tell us this isn’t one of the maddest lineups about 👀

Attendance is compulsory!

WHO’S BEHIND PIC N RIX? 📸🎧

A lot of people know Pic N Rix now, but not everyone knows how it started.

It all began on Will’s 30th birthday. What started as a bit of fun quickly turned into something much bigger than we ever imagined. Before long, Seth jumped on board, bringing his DJ skills and helping take things to the next level.

From those early days setting up in living rooms and playing at house parties, we’ve grown event by event, meeting some amazing people and creating memories along the way.
Fast forward to today, and we’ve gone from small gatherings to seeing venues like Distrikt absolutely going off. 🔥

The journey hasn’t always been easy, but every booking, every event, and every person who’s supported us has helped make Pic N Rix what it is today.

We’re massively grateful for everyone who’s booked us, recommended us, shared our posts, danced at our events, and supported us from day one.

This is only the beginning. ❤️ taken in Leeds, England, UK by @picnrix

WE’RE BACK.

Thursday 13th August. Back in the basement at Distrikt.

Sorry in advance to everyone who’s got work on Friday… but just remember, you’re rebelling against the system. Your boss doesn’t get to decide what day you have fun.

One night. Proper house music. Good people. No excuses.

See you in the basement.
