florence i love you.
studying abroad has been the best four months of my entire life. i have met the most amazing people and made my favorite memories here. to say i’ll miss it would be an understatement, i have grown in ways i never thought possible and i will forever cherish this city, these people, and this experience for the rest of my life. ciao firenze🫶

wine tasting in the country side!!! last week i had the best visitor and we took a day trip to tuscany. we went to Montepulciano and walked around the town a little bit, and then went to our first winery. we toured their wine cellar, ate some ragu pasta, and tried two different red wines. then, we went to Pienza which was the cutest little town, and you could see all of the vineyards and fields. we ended the trip with our last winery and tried four different wines, which were all really good!!! the views were insane and the wine was sooo good, definitely worth visiting! taken in Tuscan Countryside, Italy by @picsbysarahd

for my art history class we took a little trip to pisa for the day!! we observed a bunch of architecture and paintings in churches and got to see the leaning tower! a little overview of everywhere we went: San Paolo Sopr’Arno, Santa Maria della Spina, San Nicola, San Piero in Vinculis, San Michele in Borgo, San Sisto, the Baptistery, the Composanto, the Pisa Cathedral, the Sinopia Museum, and the Opera del Duomo Museum! It was a very cute, small city and it was so cool I got to go with my class and learn all about the different places!! taken in Pisa, Italy by @picsbysarahd

had the most incredible weekend in interlaken!! genuinely one of the coolest places i’ve ever been to in my life! we arrived on friday and walked around the town which is so cute and peaceful. then we went paragliding and i can’t even describe how fun it was. they drove us up to the mountain and then we were off!! the views were absolutely unreal and one of the mountains i saw was the Jungfraujoch which is the top of Europe! on saturday, my friends went skiing and i tagged along with them on the gondola and took in all the views. definitely on my list to come back in the future! taken in Interlaken, Switzerland by @picsbysarahd

PARISSSS!!! one of my favorite cities in the world!!! this was my third time going and i was able to see some parts and streets i hadn’t been to before which was so so so cool. when we arrived on friday afternoon we checked into our hostel and took the metro to the louvre. it was a rainy day but so beautiful to see paris in the rain. we did a river cruise on the seine and saw the eiffel tower at night while drinking red wine. we went to dinner at a restaurant called firmine and i of course got escargots which is my fav french meal. on our second day, we explored the city and saw the notre dame, the eiffel tower up closer, and it even snowed a little! then we had the most AMAZING dinner at relais de l’entrecôte where they served us unlimited steak and fries, and i’m still dreaming about that meal it was amazing. we went to a cute little bar to end our night. one highlight of the trip was being able to practice my french and i was honestly surprised by how well i did!!! i always wanted to experience paris in the winter and i feel so blessed to have been able to! taken in Paris by @picsbysarahd
