Like what do you think the person who has a home everywhere is doing at this present moment doing. I pray to have a home everywhere. & for my kids to have the cool dad that has a home everywhere. The beach. My dad has a home there. & It’s own lake but the pool boy only comes 4 times a week ever since Dad inspired him to believe in himself. Now he wants to be the next President. I did at one point too but, you know. Having a title and being infamous for… is a different thing. Respect isn’t earned it’s our inalienable rights.

All praise to the most high.

Being a dad is weird. I want you to pick up your toys but I also enjoy finding random dinosaurs, cars or waffle fry. Or chicken bite. But at the same time I have to tell you to do the right thing a thousand times before you’re going to consider it being a plausible choice. Then you come back to me so I can tell you to do exactly what I told you before the problem existed. Then I gotta brush you off and send you back out into the world to make decisions. And pray that you did everything in your power to prepare any moment of adversity.

Now close some of the tabs. And pick a damn side. James 1:8. My 8th grade Spanish teacher used to tell us as men we have to decide. He’d say as men you never sit on the fence unless it had nothing to do with you. We get to decide who we want to be and be ready to stand on who I say I am. Probably while I still bump Eminem but still can’t decide who’s better shady or slim. by @picsfromq

What if it all works out. Where do we go from here. We have 24 hours just like the people we look up to. The heroes and geniuses. A millionaire. A billionaire. A trillionaire. The man with $24.

The beauty is that we choose what to do with our time. It’s imperative that we focus on the lifestyle that we dream about. Like why not just be him. In every story I want to be the super cool black dad and husband and God fearing man and good person.

With my people. & my wife’s experimental pastries. [Especially the seven you made after you were told your brown sugar maple cookies and cinnamon rolls made from scratch weren’t luxury enough.]

Aye real quick. Tell me what’s better than love. Another side note have you ever got your heart broke before? That’s why love is so scary because why am I walking your dog on my lunch break and haven’t voted since the last election. Like why love gotta hurt? Why love gotta make us do things that feel right but is not the best thing for the long term. Love has to be balanced out with reason. Like it’s ok to do it if it make cents.

A little kitchen tip that might surprise you 🌿✨

When washing produce, you don’t need to use vinegar and baking soda at the same time.

Why? Vinegar is acidic and baking soda is alkaline. When you combine them, they react with each other and that fun fizz you see is actually them neutralizing one another. 🫧 So instead of getting “double the cleaning power,” you can reduce the properties you were trying to use in the first place.

For this wash, we’re keeping it simple: rinse thoroughly with water, then use a diluted vinegar soak before rinsing again. 🥬🥕🍅

And remember, washing produce can help remove dirt and some surface residues, but you don’t need a complicated ingredient cocktail to get the job done.

Good food starts with taking care of your ingredients. 💚
